  1. “its so bad its good” My kind of movie. :D Hence why I still occasionally watch old movies featuring Steve Gutenberg.

  2. Kevin Conroy is the best Batman.

  3. Who is Kevin Conroy? And what film did he act in?

  4. Kevin Conroy Provided the voice of Bruce Wayne/Batman
    in Batman :The Animated Series
and He did an animated Bat film
    The Mask of the Phantasm.
    EXCELLENT FILM.

  5. @Rhaemye

No truth at all to the Megan Fox/Catwoman rumor. Breathe easy. :)

    Vic

  6. Yeah, that rumour had about as much weight as the Eddie Murphy/Riddler rumour. The movie isn’t even in the script stages yet (as far as I know), I doubt they’re going to consider casting before that.

  7. Lol, Matt I passed out from beer watching that.
I’ll finish it up soon. Don’t tell me how it ends, I’m hoping the G8 is destroyed!!! Lol.
    Go Japanese Monsters go!!!

  8. Kevin Conroy is definitely the best VOICE of batman, too bad he doesn’t look the part or he could play him in live action, lol. Bale’s Batman voice is just horrible, I think I’d rather him breathe helium and talk with a chipmunk voice to hide his identity, at least that will be funny and not cringe-inducing…

  9. Sorry to sidetrack from the Batman discussion, but I just wanted to recommend seeing 500 Days of Summer. I saw it a few days ago because a friend recommended it to me, and it was really good. As well as having a great soundtrack, it was able to balance its sad scenes with humorous scenes that made everyone in the theater laugh.

On a different note, I completely agree with Ken’s opinion about Bale’s voice in Batman. It’s become something of an inside joke between my friends and I because we felt he didn’t really try to disguise his voice. He just made it rougher

  10. Sven, isn’t “500 Days of Summer”, a feel good chick flick?

Also who wouldn’t know Bruce Wayne was Batman. Half his face is exposed, a rookie cop could figure it out.
I think having Bale sniff Helium would be the funniest thing If they did Dark Knight as a comedy.

  11. Someone needs to redub some Batman scenes replacing his voice with a helium-induced chipmunk voice…

  12. Ken I think I would break a rib watching the Dark Knight with Bale on helium,,,

Everyone else would be normal but Batman would have a chipmunk voice…
    (Comic Gold)

  13. Ken have you picked up Dexter season 3 yet. Best season so far (IMO)

  14. who’s going to remake bullitt, pitt would be good or someone like that.

  15. How bout a remake of “The Mechanic,,,,?”

  16. @john hall

Pitt as Steve McQueen?? LMAO!!! What a downgrade…

@790, not yet, soon though, want to see what happens next…

Maybe I should do the audio redub of Bale… It’ll be on the top watched videos on youtube, lol.

  17. It would be a classic Youtube link Ken !!!

What you need is a Helium voice augmentation app…

  18. Nah, easier to just buy myself a bunch of balloons filled with helium and dub it myself, lol. Record the background music as a separate track so it’s continuous and not chopped, and it’s all golden! lol

  19. Sounds good!!!
    Can’t wait to see it!!!

  20. 790,

I got the title “Monster X Strikes Back” from my dvd.

As far as Bale’s Batman voice is concerned….well, it didn’t bother me, and could understand everything he was saying, but seeing I would LMAO listening to it with a chipmunk voive though.

  21. How do you feel about Megan fox as catwoman? they say she has signed up for Batman3.
    hmmm…. Im not exstatic

  22. @Johnny-K

I don’t know where that retarded rumor originated but it’s B.S.

    Vic

  23. @790
Why don’t they know Wayne is Batman? In the DC universe, I think people are complete idiots. How does a man hide his identity with eye-glasses? Since a mask is much better than eye-glasses, I’d say the Gotham City people are genuises compared to Metropolis. 8-)

Oh, BTW, I still haven’t checked Watchmen: Director’s Cut out yet, but it’s still on my list.

  24. The Watchmen Directors Cut hasn’t hit the UK yet… I’ve heard really good things, but I’m not sure whether to wait it out till the Ultimate cut or whatever comes along with Tales of the Black Freighter put in as well.

As for Batman, I have to say a lot of what people use to determine a persons appearance comes from the eyes and the Batman mask covers the entire top of the head (seriously, when was the last time you went “Kyle… Kyle is that you? I’d recognise that jaw anywhere!”).

Superman’s disguise is pretty stupid (I wear glasses and my friends, who didn’t know me before I started wearing them, can still recognise me when I take them off) but Batman?

I mean, at least in the Nolanverse Wayne plays himself up as a millionaire playboy, his public persona doesn’t match the kind of person who would selflessly go out and put his life at risk getting the bad guys. Seriously, in a city filled with hundreds of thousands, if no millions of people, Bruce Wayne would likely be the last person you’d think of as the Batman.

  25. John Taylor,

The Director’s cut of “Watchmen” was LEGENDARY, you should definitely check it out.

  26. @Joshi

That public playboy thing was done by Bruce Timm’s animated version too. Nolan didn’t think of that either.

  27. Ken

Fair enough, I was mistaken there, all I was saying was, that whole playboy thing gives Batman a pretty convincing alias that people like Superman don’t have.

Oh Superman has the whole “I’m very awkward” thing going, but he’s then stupid enough to have Clark Kent AND Superman both go after the same girl giving her a decent look at both Superman and Superman with spectacles.

Batman tends to (and again, I may be mistaken here since I don’t follow Batman that much) keep his Bruce Wayne life and Batman life as separate as possible.

  28. It’s so boring ‘not’ having a proper big Marvel superhero movie right now…! Or any superhero movoe come to think about it!!!

  29. Watching the final episode of Dexter Season 3 in a minute and so far I must say this is the best season so far!

Jimmy Smits was a highlight this season for sure!!!
