It’s Wednesday, so that means it’s time for our weekly discussion post, where you determine the topics – but as long as I have your attention, I’m trying some things and I’d like your feedback. I’m trying to de-clutter the website and have removed some things as an experiment.
They may stay changed or I may put them back – but know that I’m trying to improve the visitor experience for Screen Rant readers.

Hey, everyone, I was just being curious and checked Jon Favreau’s Twitter page, and now he says tha the first Iron Man II image will be released on Friday. Yeah!! That’s cool.

Friday is something to look forward to IMO..weekend will be here..Although I have ACLS so I will be busy Friday night and all day Saturday.. Sucks to be me…but Friday is always gooder..
I had the same back button issue and it has been resolved with the new changes…
The problem with Heroes is that the writing has been to “on-the-fly” over the past couple of seasons to make anything make sense…
The show’s biggest payoff storylines (Peter and Sylar being all powerful and squaring off against each other, Peters Facial Scar, Hiro’s time travel) have all been contridicted to many times to make any sense…
Here is the one thing that bugs the heck out of me… If time travel prevented world catastophe….. And if time travel powers have gone away.. than wouldn’t this mean that future Hiro was never able to go back in time to that subway to warn Peter about Claire… Therefore shouldn’t claire not be known anymore and the world have ended? IDK its just far to confusing to keep up with…
And so many characters have just unexplainably disapeared,thats kind of lame as well…
And the point about claires blood is a great one because if I am correct, the entire second season was all about getting the blood of the guy with the same powers as claire to save key characters… now all the sudden the only option is this wierd matt parkman/Sylar solution??? I liked it much better when powers werent so complex

THats why they did away with the time travel. We have no idea, absolutely no idea how that would actually work out so everyones theory is different, everyones outcome is different, so from one writer to the next that could change. And from one viewer to the next, the perception changes on how it should have gone. Time travel is too messy.

Glad to see a post about what Marlon Wayans has to say about his role in GI Joe. Vic I really wish the “HATERS” would actually watch Requim for a Dream so they can get a feel for his versatility before they start their moaning and groaning.

I don’t see how it’s acceptable to show Lois Lane, the best reporter in fiction, discovering why making stories up is wrong. If she were ten years old, sure, but Lois has been working at the Daily Planet for two years! The show gave us an episode that besmirches an iconic character’s reputation for the sake of a few cheap laughs.
I did like all of Allison Mack’s scenes; she is ROCKING this Doomsday storyline! Also, I find Jimmy a pretty cool character when he’s not just an appendage of Chloe.
vic im curious about something. ive read one of your reviews from 2004, but the first time i came to this site was back in november of 2008 and you had about 100 members then so did it take 4 years to get to 100 and than less than a half a year to get another 150 members if so congratulation on your site taking off, or did you reset your members. I think the last time i saw your amount of members it was at about 250 i think.

Guys, regarding podcasts – I flirted with the idea briefly and did a handful of them a couple years back. Unfortunately I just don’t have the time. Running SR isn’t a full time gig, I have a full time job and a family and there are only so many hours in a day. I’m tempted to spend more time working on the site than I do, but I’ll blink and my daughter will be gone from the house. It’s no contest.
Hud, thanks. That “member” thing was something I was playing around with – really didn’t see much benefit from it. I should have gone with the Facebook version perhaps. There may be a different social networking thing coming down the pike, though.

Heroes Spoiler alert
For everyone complaining about the Claire-blood solution idea, you have to re-watch the episode, Claire and Peter aren’t aware that Nathan actually died, so it would be tough to ask claire for her blood without explaining why.
Good grief guys, I had to scroll down and keep my eyes diverted to avoid all of the spoilers lol! It was like seeing your best friend’s wife in a bikini, you try really hard not to look but because you aren’t blind, it can’t be avoided HEH!

@ SIN187UM The Burrowers is one heck of a good film. I found it at Blockbuster and since I love B-rated sci-fi, currently have Anaconda 4:Trail of Blood on my shelf at home, I just had to watch it. Was not disappointed at all.
Anyone that likes current war movies check out “The Hurt Locker”.

You know, with so many video cards out now with HDMI outputs, I have a really good idea to replace most of your DVD’s with hi-def without breaking the bank. LG has an internal drive for your PC that is a combo drive, it plays Blu-Ray and HD DVD as well as burns DVD-R, DVD+R, and DVD-RW’s and it only costs like $110. I think you see where I’m going with this. HD DVD is dead. That means most movie that was released on HD DVD can be bought for very cheap.
I went to Amazon’s site and to their HD DVD store, browse all movies with 4 stars and higher, there was only like 300 of them, (I have nothing better to do, lol), looked through them, and ordered a bunch of movies that were being sold for like $4.50 each.
Of course I think the Blu Ray movies have better quality or more features since the medium can hold more data, so I’m only buying HD DVD’s of movies I like but don’t LOVE. All of my “top tier” movies I’m going to get on Blu Ray if possible. But some movies I have no choice. Like Dragonheart, I love that movie, but they don’t have it on Blu Ray. HD DVD is the only hi def option. Then there is Aliens, no hi def of ANY type yet. I heard rumors they are remastering 1 and 2 for Blu Ray and it will come out soon… Hopefully this is true, my movie collection won’t be complete until I have a hi def version of Aliens. Right now I have the 2-Disc Collectors set on DVD… And the new remastered Terminator 2 Blu Ray is coming out in May, already have the complete collector’s set on preorder that comes with the T-800 bust, lol.
But anyway, if you have a video card that has a HDMI output, all you need is the new PowerDVD to play Blu Ray and HD DVD, the combo drive from LG, and you can now watch all of your movies in HD for much less that getting them all on blu ray. If your video card doesn’t have HDMI, you can do it through DVI-D as well, but then you might need to run a program called anyDVD or something to bypass the HDCP encryption if your tv or monitor doesn’t support HDCP on DVI-D mode (like mine).
