@Copernicus
Haven’t heard anything new on Supermax in close to a full year:

I second that Castle is pretty great, I like Nathan Fillion, I didn’t like the girl at first but shes already grown on me, and his daughter is like the good balance to his bad side.
@ Manowar
“Was just pondering this one day. Has a movie ever hit #1 weekend box office, then slip down, and come back up to #1 again on another weekend?”
It hasn’t happened much in the last 10-15 years but it was commplace before movies were given these supersaturated and ultrasaturation theater counts.
E.T was number 1 for it’s first 7 weeks and then fell to #2 for a week then back to # 1 for 2 weeks then back to #2 for a weeks and then back to #1 for 2 weeks…cripers I’m getting dizzy..This type of thing was not common in the 70′s and 80′s but it wasn’t rare either..but you are also talking about a time when films played in far fewer theaters and a weekend gross of 6-11 million could win a weekend even in the middle of the summer season..
Cheers
Star Trek is either going to be huge and crush Terminator like a hydraulic press, or its going to be a mediocre bomb. I can’t wait to see what happens.
^
Big Doc Who fan, I have to watch the show on dvd however, I’m in the middle of season 3 of the new series.

Where were all you Fringe fans when “The Lone Gunmen” was burning in friday night FOX hell? Fringe is just a meh, total lift of X-Files/Lone Gunman.

So is Nimoy pulling off a Travolta comeback or what thanks to JJ. Lol
“Remember”.

And yep “24″ is kicking ars this season, and you can thank Brannon Braga (co exec producer Voyager) for that. Also Manny Coto from the prematurely cancelled “Enterprise”.
@ Matt K
Yeah, the fruity Arrancar was a tad disturbing. Not because of being fruity or whatever, it’s because he’s an Arrancar. I thought they were all super serious and emotionless. It was just weird. But I love Bleach, one of the best anime around.
agreed on the anime front, damn shame that there isn’t more of it on mainstream TV and you have to go raid other sites for fansubs to get the latest and greatest.
while Bleach is good (despite the two TV related side story diversions) I still gotta say it’s hard to surpass what Cowboy BeBop did for the genre.
I, for one, am glad there isn’t a lot of anime on mainstream tv. But then again, I rarely watch any tv other than Discovery, History, TruTv, and stuff like that…
I’ve heard that in the next episode of Smallville
SPOILER
Lois shows everyone how honest and generous she is by making up a story (ie deliberately putting lies in the newspaper she works for) to advance her own career. I hate Lois episodes.
Can I just give a wee plug to DISTRUCTO VS STARBOY on YouTube please…a wee fun 5min mix of Superman vs Godzilla theme…we just love Japanese monster movies…Cheers everybody.
ash ali,
i agree that they shouldnt show any emotion.
thats why Halibel and Ulquiorra are my favorite of the espada…well Grimmjow as well, but that b/c his behavior reminds me of my favorite character,Zaraki.

I just started watching Monk and House last year and now I hear Monk’s last season is this summer. How long has Monk been on? And why is quality programming getting the axe while junk like American Idol continues?
It’s called business. Reality shows are cheap to produce and people watch it. It’s a simply measure of profits.
Personally I think Rome is the best tv series I’ve ever watched and that only lasted 2 seasons… It also looked like one of the most expensive series I’ve ever watched. It’s not a coincidence that it didn’t last. If the networks got paid by the quality of their shows, then yes, we will have nothing but great shows. But until advertisers start paying based on quality instead of quantity, we will keep losing good shows for shows that still get viewers but cost less to make.
House is a great show too, Dr. House is hilarious.
Wow “24″ kicked asrs tonight!
I think that might have been the best “24″ episode this season,,,
