  1. SR’s april fools threads got me. I saw them and for about thirty seconds I believed! Ha, good one.

And what about AofS last night? Whoa… I called it! No spoilers but I guessed the voice of the Clairvoyant!

And Deathlok is looking better, especially in infra-red.

    • i really enjoy that episode of AoS if it’s felt more dark and serious i hope they keep going like that

    • Love the profile pic, Pitt Man!

I completely forgot it was April Fools Day until SR got me on some of those articles…probably would have continued to believe them until I read the comments…

      • Thanks deroxstar,

I fell for the Game of Thrones thread, but the Bats vs. supes delay for a WW film smelled fishy from the start.

    • ya really enjoyed last nights episode of marvel agents of shield, cant wait to see what happens next

      • Enough with the “I really like Agents of SHIELD” comments. April fool’s day is over.

    • Why no AoS Episode Review on SR yet?

      It’s really a good show.

      And it’s April 2nd today.

  2. Mike Mike Mike Mike Mike.

Little rainy here in the North East but that just means I can justify catching up on some TV shows tonight, mainly Cosmos and AOS (which I heard was good last night!).

I watched Anchorman 2 last night for the first time…I’ll be honest, it had its moments but I felt like it was trying WAY to hard. I think Paul Rudd had some of the more memorable lines, but Carrel’s character this time around was kind of annoying. It would have been funnier in much smaller doses. The epic fight scene at the end though with all the cameos…loved that part.

  3. Good Morning All…

    Happy Hump Day!! :)

Wow, Agents of Shield was very good last night. I won’t give anything away for those of you that haven’t seen it yet, but it was really good. I can’t wait to see what happens next. That show keeps improving every week, much like Arrow did the second half of season one. I think season two of AoS will be very good if they keep this pace up.

Speaking of Arrow, Deathstroke tonight!!! :)

I know the story was bogus because it was April 1st yesterday, but did anybody else think that the idea of a solo Wonder Woman film before BvS really isn’t that bad of an idea? I’m kind of wishing that they would really do that now.

I spoke with some people that saw Cap 2 and they all said it was fantastic. A couple of them thought it was the best Marvel movie to date. I’m not sure how it can be better than The Avengers, but everything I’m hearing and reading says it’s very, very good. There is so much to see in it that you can’t catch it all in one viewing. I already have my tickets for Friday and Saturday in 3d of course! :)

  4. Morning Stark. I was actually thinking it would be nice WB/DC DID release atleast 2 films a year like Marvel does instead of 2-3 years. My favorite Marvel film is still The Avengers but can’t for Cap 2,only i’ll go on a weekday matinee while less people are around.

I read Hawkeye & Hulk will get more screen time in the next Avengers film & everyone gets a new costume.

I thought about making more space in my dvd collection. When the time comes i’ll probly get rid of TDK trilogy once the DC universe picks up steam.

    • The problem is that DC doesn’t have enough confidence in their films. Marvel has shown they’re willing to take risks with their franchises.

      • @ Matthew Keith

        I agree.

  5. Do you guys think that Shazam (Captain Marvel) should be a part of the Justice League movie? I am assuming that a Justice League movie will be made and if so would you want Shazam in there? I personally like the character and have always thought he had a unique feeling that other heroes lacked.

    • I think the polar opposites of Billy and Capt is amazing and perfect for a movie. But imho most DC characters have good background stories. Plus he is one of the few if not only characters who would need two distinct actors to be portrayed.

  6. @ Writer

Not Captain Marvel but maybe Billy Batson as a homage that there are other heroes & perhaps Captain Marvel will get his own solo film later. Id love to see him & Superman go head to head against each other like they did in JLU animated series.

  7. hey is it possible that wonder woman movie will come up in 2015 as the rumor came up and then there will be batman vs superman movie. If yes then there have to be a director and writer that is working on this project right now?

  8. I bet Wonder Woman film would come after Batman vs. Superman. They’d probly cover her origins via flashbacks same way they did Superman’s from MOS & Batman from Batman Begins style.

  9. I just treated myself to the light bold Joss Whedon commentary on “The Avengers” again the other day, and he makes it pretty clear that the focus of the avengers going forward when it comes to writing will be stories that impacted him the most like the death of Adam Warlick and Thanos Courts Death. So what I’m wondering is how does Ultron possibly play into that storyline and will Agents of Shield get us much closer?

    • I assume Thanos will be tacked on to AoU in a contrived, arbitrary manner similar to how he was jammed onto the end of the first movie, setting him up as the heavy in the 3rd one.

  10. Has anyone bought Hunger Games: Catching Fire on DVD & the disc would skip in the middle?

  11. Only a day left until The Winter Soldier’s midnight premier! Uber excited! After seeing Chris Evans and Sam Jackson on Jimmy Fallon, and last night’s Agents of Shield, tomorrow night can’t get here any sooner!
I’d be lying if said I stayed away from any spoilers but Cap’s my boy, couldn’t help it.
I wish that WW joke yesterday was real. A Wonder Woman solo would be awesome.

WGN America has a new series starting April 20 called “Salem”, as a period horror genre drama involving Witches and witchcraft. By going to it’s website, you can see preview trailers and plot & character info. It is looking pretty good. However, after writing to their contact email address, I have been informed that there is no current plans to realize it to Netflix, nor plans to allow viewing full episodes on the WGN website or release it on DVD. If these things do not change, it will be one of those “Miss the episode when broadcast and you are out of luck” things. It appears to be something along the lines of Sleepy Hollow or the upcoming Penny Dreadful, which also look pretty good in my opinion, but this show takes place with it’s witches and witch-hunters in Puritan Salem and New England. So if this type of programming appeals to you (as it does to me if well-done), please email ASAP to the WGN America contact address on their website, and ask them to allow full episodes to be shown on their website, and release it on DVD, and release it to Netflix after the initial run to expand it’s viewership.

    • @Goldilocks

I can’t say for sure it will be the case for Salem, but when Legend of the Seeker was on a few years back it was broadcast on WGN Amercia as well as a local station here in San Diego, both owned by the Tribune Broadcasting Company, so you had a couple chances to catch it over the weekend. I’m not sure where you are but you may want to see of any of your local stations are Tribune networks to see if they give you a plan “b” option.

      • WGN America, which I believe is out of Chicago, Illinois, broadcasts here in Hancock, Upper Michigan, where I live, on channel 9 as WGN. Coincidently, it was also channel 9 years ago when I lived down in the Chicago suburbs, as WGN.

By the way, I see you are in San Diego, home of my favorite football team, the San Diego Chargers! Go, Sunny-D Bolts!

  13. Anyone owned Hunger Games Catching Fire on DVD & it would skip somewhere in the middle during the movie?

  14. Anyone still watching Revolution?

I think it’s The Matrix prequel. Or SkyNet.
