Open Discussion – April 15, 2009

It’s Wednesday, so that means it’s time for our weekly discussion post, where you determine the topics. Of course it’s dreaded Tax Day in the U.S. so I don’t know how talkative folks will be today. :-)

As usual – talk about whatever you like as long as it’s related to movies, TV or Screen Rant itself.

  1. That still means they somehow found 18 critics that actually liked it…

Come on, they made a sequel, for a movie where the protagonist fell out of a helicopter. And the whole idea of the movie makes no sense at all.

    1. Wouldn’t his bones be broken from the fall?
    2. If his heart is in good enough condition to be sold, then wouldn’t he have been alive BEFORE they implanted the artificial heart??
    3. What about brain damage??

So basically, in essence, that fall from the helicopter didn’t harm ANYTHING on him. He more or less walked away from it unharmed. Give me a break.

  2. Boy there sure are some obsessive compulsive reactive diseased movie freaks out there…
    That take critic’s opinions personally.
On a good night there’s at least 2, on the Rant,,, :-)

  3. It’s called smart shopping. Just like you depend on online reviews to decide which is the best motherboard to buy for your new Core i7 rig, you rely on some kind of reviews of rating system to help you decide what you spend your money on in regards to movies. But now when crappy movies are getting decent scores you really don’t know where else to turn. We almost have to shoot blind.

I guess it’s blogging websites like this to the rescue, lol.

  4. Tonight on Fringe , during the closing moment,
we heard Leonard Nimoy as the voice of Wiliam Bell.
    Just letting everybody here know.
I thought his first appearance was going to be in the finale ,
but apparently this was a tease for the fans.
