Well if he just talks to himself and the audience in his mind? I would love to see that. You know like he is the Narrator but more tied into the stuff that happens on screen. I’d love to see that.
Btw in a more personal matter: I found this website a while ago and I have to say I like it so much that It is now on my “daily Sites i have to check” To make it short: hello from germany =)
I’d imagine a Deadpool movie would be with Deadpool and not Weapon XI. As I see it, Deadpool and Weapon XI are two completely different people even if they are both physically Wade Wilson.
I was watching Hancock for the second time the other day and it struck me that it is not a completely terrible film and started to think about where they could go for a sequel…
I was lying in bed (I promise this won’t get dirty!) and had a revelation. A lot of franchises have been going for the full “rounded” trilogy treatment recently and as you all know, the 3rd part always seems to go off the rails, ruining a good series. Apart from Superman 3 of course, my fave of the bunch – oooooh, controversial!
Anyway, why not have Hancock as the middle film of a trilogy? If the sequel is a direct follow up to the first film, have the cursed third film as a prequel, detailing the lives of the “gods” through the ages, basically checking off all of the points that Miss (Mrs?) Theron goes over when she visits him in hospital. But I don’t think that it should end *SPOILER SPOILER* when Hancock cracks his skull and gets amnesia…the second half of the film should explore his life from the forties onwards, showing us his downfall in societies eyes, ending with him falling asleep on a park bench….a little x-men origins I know, but I would so pay to see a superhero story that starts in a pre technology age, you know, a sort of super hero Forrest Gump over a much longer period of time!
I have a funny feeling about this one, the same one I had when I called the Kraken being used in Pirates 2 waaay before it was announced (I have proof!). I’m gonna put £10 on this later, lets see what happens!
What do you guys reckon? Am I talking out my arse or is this the way to go?
Did anyone else watch the new transformers 2 trailer and think that Sam just got a cybertronian intersect in his head or have I been watching to much Chuck?
So Peter Dinklage got cast as Tyrion Lannister in HBO’s A GAME OF THRONES and his STATION AGENT director Tom McCarthy is directing the first episode. Excellent news. Tyrion is an absolute gift of a character and could really push Dinklage’s already impressive career onto a whole new level.
McCarthy is a very interesting, thoughtful actor-director who excels in character-based drama. My already-high expectations for the project just went up a notch.
FYI, BIG Terminator Salvation giveaway coming very soon. And no, it won’t involve any of that twitter nonsense. Just the usual daily newsletter subscription and sending an email with your info.
You know Vic, you are the greatest American ever, and the most handsome. Your intelligence must be well over 200. When people talk about Captain America, they are talking about you. When I grow up, I want to be just like you.
Ok, I have finally been able to watch almost all of this season’s episodes of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (I just have the finale left to watch), and I really hope that this show doesn’t get cancelled. It was kind of uneven the first few episodes of the season, but the last 3-4 episodes have been great! If it gets cancelled, I hope Fox ***eye roll*** does at least a 2 hour series finale so we can have everything sewn up.
I’m going to see Wolverine tomorrow and I can’t WAIT! I hope I am not building myself up for something that is not going to be delivered. I haven’t read any of the reviews or watched any previews in the last 2 weeks.
I have an idea of the mouth thing, its just a theory but send me a e mail at Matty1341@aol.com and ill tell you what i think. It has to do with thing sryker said during the movie.
@John, great! I was wondering when Eureka was going to come back! What was the hold up? Couldn’t figure out how to go when you did that to Carter?
Also, guys, I found this video on You Tube on this guy who has an audition for The Expendables: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Od4sFlyECw He is really good, better than when 50 Cent was announced, glad that didn’t come to be. But check him out, he also has a facebook group.
FYI, I’m trying something different with comments. When an article goes over 20 comments it’s going to create a new comment page, and for every 20 comments thereafter. On every page they’ll display in the order your used to, and the latest comments will always appear on the main page.
Some pages get so many comments it makes the page load time slow down, so this should help with that.
I watched the entire US series in the past few weeks, and it was the most fun I’ve had with a series for a long time. Everyone seems to say “the UK version was better.” (I’ve not seen it).
Anyone follow the US version? I wonder if it was slated to last as long as it did, or if it was capped off because of low ratings?
I loved that it was officially wrapped up–that also gave Journeyman an honorable end. The lack of an explanation is what made me want to strangle the makers of John Doe, Daybreak, Invasion, etc.
Picked up “Gene Roddenberry’s, Earth Final Conflict season 1″ on dvd today. Great show. Eugene Roddenberry dedicated the dvd to his mom Majal Roddenberry.
good news about new Eureka episodes, ty for the update. Thnx for the reasoned review of the new Trek film Vic, it’s appreciated that you attempt to point out any plot hole disasters so I’ll try and see it against the grain of the usual throngs with a matinee during the week.
Vic, Did you delete Poozwonger’s Hancock post? I was gonna “thank” him for putting two major spoilers in front of the spoiler warning. NOW I’m gonna thank YOU for apparently deleting it. (I got it in e-mail)
The ending i saw had nothing to do with Deadpool,it had Stryker malking with busted -open shoes and the MPs came up in hummer and told him he was wanted in connection to the murder of the captian dude at the weapon X facility.
Second part was Wolverine in Japan, drinking in a bar and saying he was “drinking to remember”, as opposed to “drinking to forget”,which was what the bartender asked
The page thing is weird. Here it works perfect, but on some other ones, longer ones, when I click on one of the page numbers or on the “Show All” link it just brings me back to the main SR page… weird…
Apologies for the stoopid moment, re read it earlier and I definitely had a dumb episode! However, there is no need for the bitchy-ness, as much as I love movies, they are only movies at the end of the day.
I’m getting used to it. Once my I get accustommed to where to look to see what I’m looking for it’s pretty cool. But no more “latest comments” or latest articles on the bottom of every page? Oh well, that’s what tabbed browsing is for, lol.
I see the latest headlines and latest comments thing on the homepage, but before under the comments on each article you see the latest headlines and latest comments there too. Like on this page now, I see the latest headlines on the right side column, but no latest comments. But it’s no big deal, I can just refresh the main page to see the latest instead of jumping from article to article.
Yah, but don’t worry about it, it’s not too hard to simply hit back to get back to the main page to see if any more comments have been submitted, it does load faster afterall.
Hello Vic, I must say the new Homepage is really GOOD (should I say awesome?). I think it was time for something new and fresh for the site. Hope it doesn’t take much time for me to get used to it. Anyways, just wanted to congratulate great work done. Oh, and that Poll thing should be kinda cool, hehehe…
FYI, the poll is now sitewide so you can vote from anywhere. And over the next day or so I am planning on bringing back latest comments to the bottom of the page along with hot topics and latest posts.
I gotta admit Vic, I was taken back by the new site layout and the stubborn part of me hated it. But after a couple of days I am REALLY liking the new setup. Faster, easier to see what’s new and to get to the articles I am interested in. Great job as usual, Vic!

lol first post… Just wanted to say it’s a shame Dom DeLuise died, so RIP…
I really don’t see how a Deadpool movie could be interesting unless he looses some of his powers and can talk.
I really don’t see how a Deadpool movie could be interesting unless he looses some of his powers and can talk.
I don’t see how you could think they would be interesting without him having a head… or did you see a different version.
Well if he just talks to himself and the audience in his mind? I would love to see that. You know like he is the Narrator but more tied into the stuff that happens on screen.

man, i FINALLY got to see “the incredible hulk” and that movie was frigin awesome
Looks like new episodes of Eureka will be coming in July. It’s about time!
Well, we got 1 bad review out of 48 on rottentomatoes. Who cares! Vic gives it thumbs up so I’m sold.
reviews for Star Trek, that is. And what’s up with this “You’re posting comments too quickly” crap?
Hey gang,
FYI, BIG Terminator Salvation giveaway coming very soon. And no, it won’t involve any of that twitter nonsense. Just the usual daily newsletter subscription and sending an email with your info.

@Dan and Necro
Most of those things are answered in the after credits ending involving Deadpool…
The mouth thing didn’t really make sense though, but whatever…
You know Vic, you are the greatest American ever, and the most handsome. Your intelligence must be well over 200. When people talk about Captain America, they are talking about you. When I grow up, I want to be just like you.
BTW, you can send those tickets any day now.

LIFE ON MARS and MYSTERY REVEALS (no spoilers)

Just read the update on The Kung Fu Kid…… The out look appears grim after Chan’s statements , and just the whole premise. CRAP.
Picked up “Gene Roddenberry’s, Earth Final Conflict season 1″ on dvd today. Great show.

Vic,
Loving the new page sections of comments:)
@NecroticD
Hey man, thanks for the feedback. I was actually afraid the paginated comments might annoy people.
Vic
Necrotic, stay until after ALL of the credits…
The page thing is weird. Here it works perfect, but on some other ones, longer ones, when I click on one of the page numbers or on the “Show All” link it just brings me back to the main SR page… weird…

@ Ken J
That’s very odd – I tested this comment pagination in Firefox, Safari, IE6 & IE7 and I never had it do that.
If you could do me a favor and find a page where that happens – right click over the “Show All” link and paste it here so I can try and figure it out.
Thanks,
Vic
I think I just have a knack for having things not work for me like it works for everyone else… lol.
Yah, it hasn’t done it since that day, must have just been a glitch…
I’ve removed the comment pagination because a few people mentioned the same problem.
And hey, check out our brand spankin’ new home page!!
Let me know what you think, good OR bad.
Vic
definitely good

@Ken J
- Latest comments are in the lower right section of the page.
- Latest articles are dead center in the middle of the page, separated into movies and TV.
- In addition we now have “Hot Topics” on the home page, showing articles with the most comments over the last couple of days.
Everything that was on the page before is still there, plus additional features, and you don’t have to “page down” 10 times to see everything.
Vic
Oh, and the site loads MUCH faster now, too.
Vic
I see the latest headlines and latest comments thing on the homepage, but before under the comments on each article you see the latest headlines and latest comments there too. Like on this page now, I see the latest headlines on the right side column, but no latest comments. But it’s no big deal, I can just refresh the main page to see the latest instead of jumping from article to article.
Oh, I see, you were talking about the individual article pages…
Vic
Yah, but don’t worry about it, it’s not too hard to simply hit back to get back to the main page to see if any more comments have been submitted, it does load faster afterall.
Very sexy new page
Hello Vic, I must say the new Homepage is really GOOD (should I say awesome?). I think it was time for something new and fresh for the site. Hope it doesn’t take much time for me to get used to it. Vic
Hey gang,
For those of you who miss the links at the bottom of the page: Look down.
Vic
I look down and all I see is my legs… I mean, what am I supposed to see by *looks down on the bottom of the page*
OOooooohhhhhhhhh!!!!11 lol, that’s cool.
I gotta admit Vic, I was taken back by the new site layout and the stubborn part of me hated it. But after a couple of days I am REALLY liking the new setup. Faster, easier to see what’s new and to get to the articles I am interested in. Great job as usual, Vic!
@Andy S
Thanks, bro. I figured some of the negative reactions were just the shock of seeing something so radically different.
There will be ongoing fine tuning going on.
Vic
