    24, SEASON FINALE TONIGHT !!!!
  • Johhny-O
    @ Matt K:

    Hi, Matt, nice to meet ya, I'm John;

Boy, is that a major WTF!

R2-D2? in a cameo in the JJ-Trek movie?

Ho-lee SHIT! This is MAJOR! Now, of course, I have to go back & see the damn thing again, HAHAHAHAHA!

Or, maybe I can just wait until it comes out on DVD, I'll probably do that...I have all those other revelations to look for, prob'ly be the best thing. Lemme seeeee...Bones' sickbay diagnostic bed with a dynamic X-Ray, Kal Penn on the bridge for about a half second, the main engineering scenes shot at the Budweiser plant, etc.

Thanx, always nice to know what chimeras are lurking in the fertile mind of JJ Abrams...

    JOHN

    @ Vic:

    Okay, I will, thanx.

And thank you so much for putting up with our 'gang' from the Spoilers' Rant thread, I am sure I speak for all when I say we all appreciate your indulgence at our silly rambunctiousness (there's a word for ya!)!

    God bless you, pal,

    JOHN

PS: Is there any way you can get ahold of Vee, from Edmonton? Even our sweet-16 little Ingenue, Katherine from Down Under, eventually filtered in, but Vee has not yet shown up yet to join us on the new thread - a great loss, really, if yoiu ask me, she had a lot to offer, often disagreeing but always respectful - I miss her. Can you get her back?

Don't worry if you can't, I know you're busy but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

    Cya!

    JOHN
  • Thanks, Johnny-O. BTW, there's a new Open Discussion post every Wednesday, so don't bookmark THIS one. :-P

  • Matt K
Did anyone find R2D2's cameo in "Star Trek"?
  • Johhny-O
    @ 790:

Thanks, buddy, I will checkout both, I appreciate it.

Yeah, I was a HUGE fan of BSG, was very impressed by the praise heaped on it by Rolling Stone magazine - "The best show on television"...I have to agree, the best sci-fi on TV, anyway (gotta leave a little sumpthin'-sumpthin' for the FX shows, hahaha, U know? 'Nip/Tuck', 'The Shield, & 'Rescue Me' were fantastic too), but I was already on the boards about much of Glactica, this looks intriguing though, will invesitgate forthwith.

    Thanx again, pal,

    JOHN

    @ Vic:

Hey, lookit that good lookin' guy at the top of the page!

I like your Fu-Manchu-esque Van Dyke, btw, Vic, and I like this 'Open Discussion' page so far, and kudos to 790 for telling me about it - Thanls, pal!

I will create a shortcut for this one, too, straightaway.

I intend to become a regular.

    @ Vic

Glad to be helpful. Definitely getting better the new homepage. Rest assured, no matter what changes, I'll always stay with ScreenRant. Good work again!
  • Andy S
The new updated layout looks good, Vic. To be honest, it's not the layout of the site that brings me back here on a nearly daily basis, it's the quality of the articles and the genuine love for movies and TV that you and the other writers seem to have. Once I get used to a layout it will be fine. I do like that the site loads ALOT faster on my computer.

Keep up the great work, Vic!!
  • Ken J
They might as well rename the box from "Suggestion Box" to "Recycle your paper here! Go green!"
  • Daniel F
I know exactly what you mean most sites are like most jobs the suggestion box is really just a paper shredder in disguise.
  • Ken J
Weird as in unexpected, not in a negative way, it's a good thing, very uncommon.
  • Ken J
    @vic

Yah, it's actually kind of weird that someone will make a suggestion, then the site will actually change to reflect that. Most sites I have when they ask for visitor "feedback" it's just for show, and every suggestion is just shot down by some phony balony excuse why it wouldn't work...
  • Ken J
Ok, so I know YOU know what I'm talking about.

I'm sure that scene where the Cuban general uses our own "gun registries" to find citizens who are armed to target them first would be gone too, that scene proved such an important point... pity...
  • Thanks, Daniel. Believe me, you "regulars" mean the world to us and I'm doing what I can to accommodate both you AND new visitors who hopefully will become repeat visitors as well. :-D

  • Daniel F
Also Vic I bookmarked the Screenrant.com/archive page that looks like the old layout and I'm happy no more bitching about that from me I can just click my bookmark and land on the layout that made me fall in love with the site. It's a tough balancing act trying to keep everyone happy trying to bring in new members and keep the old ones happy. Your doing great.
  • Daniel F
Ken I hope you know that they will. That's what today's hollywood does. it's sad, but true.
  • Ken J
Wait a minute, I was just reading about Chris Hemsworth and was reading about the Red Dawn remake... Did they just hand off Red Dawn, to a first time lead director, and 2nd unit director to Lions for Lambs??? I need to read the synopsis to this new Red Dawn, they better not have changed the story to make it more "politically correct" to current government's standards, if you know what I mean...
  • @Iron Knight

Hey bro, I added a little more spacing around the Latest Headlines area - I think you were right in saying that things were a little too tight. :-)

    Vic
  • Really don't have much opinion on the Thor casting. The only time I've ever seen the guy is in his brief role in the new Star Trek movie.

    Vic
  • Ken J
Maybe we should put our money where our mouths are? lol

As much as I hate paypal, they have a way for people to donate money to you just by clicking a button and entering their payment method and amount...
  • Iron Knight
    @ Vic
Ooops, Ok, sorry, forgot that. But I still think it needs more space, though. I'll be looking into other sites so that you can come up with new ideas. Just want to congratulate the great effort you are putting to the site, and it's really nice to see our opinions counted.
So, changing a little of subject, were you surprised about the Thor casting Vic?
  • Daniel F
Just thought I needed to say It I know I can be an opinionated ass sometimes and a little to blunt. Wanted to let you know I still like and respect you. For all the work you have done here for us all.
  • Thanks, Daniel, I appreciate your saying that. Believe me when I say that everything I do is to help make the site better for visitors and to make it grow.

    I'm on a mission ! :-)

    Vic
  • Phil
In a way we already have a "forum" because each article is a separate topic with following discussions, not unlike threads. So I don't really see the need for one either.
  • Daniel F
I will say this Vic while I don't really like the current main page at all and miss the old one I do love how much you try and work on this site. I figure you deserve a little appreciation for the hard work you put on this place. We may not agree on everything and we even bump heads from time to time, but I do have a lot of respect for you. I've always wanted to do a site like this sort of something I dreamed about and kind of inspiring to see someone else do it and be successful and still maintain their passion.
  • @Iron Knight

Again, a reminder that 80% of the people that visit Screen Rant every day are visiting us for the first time. The home page layout is a good way to give them an overview of what we have to offer, and THEY won't know about the 5 featured items already. :)

    Vic
  • Iron Knight
Vic, not that I don't want them, but the SR Picks, Movie Reviews, Trailers and Latest Headlines sections at Homepage seem now kind of mixed up. I mean, there is little space between them, and for me it doesn't give a good looking for the site. Also, the five articles right at the beginning (about Star Trek, Angels & Demons, Smallville and others) with the big pics, are somewhat unneccesary now and requires much space. I do like changes and the right column and bottom parts are perfect.
Just some thoughts, so that you can make this the best way possible.
