  1. I loved this intro. You’d make a great companion to Anthony’s Doctor Ben, lol.

  2. I think an Aquaman movie could totally work. I’ve liked Aquaman before New 52 and Aquaman could be DC’s Thor. If they were to base it off the Trench story arc or Throne of Atlantis and have the villain be Ocean Master, that’d be epic. And Aquaman is one of the most well known, recognized heroes. Mainly due to jokes and all that stupidity but you can prove them wrong. Use the scene from the book when Aquaman takes an AK to the face and flips that armored truck like Kofi mentioned. And Aquaman can take Superman on land as well.

  3. Just read the wikipedia for the Oldboy remake, except for a few changes, it’s a shot for shot remake.

  4. Another theory about the Jurassic World title: they have established dinosaur zoos all over the world and a terrorist organziation called Chaos, lead by a derranged Dr. Ian Malcolm, makes a coordinated effort to set all dinosaurs free at once, to finally bring home the fact that breeding these things is a terrible idea. :D

I just started watching the modern bout of Doctor Who and have reached episode 10 (the second half of the two-parter with the Empty Child in 1941). This show is so goofy, silly and out there that I will not even try to keep track of any grander overarching storylines. Any show that uses farting as a running gag (as in the episodes with the aliens taking over parliament in skin suits) loses that privilege. It’s simple weird, trippy, colorful entertainment for 45 minutes and its completely crazy background story doesn’t matter to me at all.

    • I just started getting into Doctor Who about a month ago, I love it but I agree with you about the farting gag. The episode with the Slitheen and they have zippers on their forehead. Yeah, that farting gag almost turned me off to the show but that doesn’t happen anymore throughout the series.

      • There’s a reason why the Slitheen were moved to Torchwood. ;-) Get through the early reign of Russell T. Davies and you’ll be fine!

        • And if you ever need a break from the goofiness, check out the Moffat episodes within Davies’ seasons.

          • I’ll keep watching it. Perhaps it will be able to change me view on it further down the road (or time stream?)

      • Good to know. Don’t get me wrong I really enjoy Doctor Who, otherwise I wouldn’t have watched one or two episodes each night, but I will definitely not treat it as a serious drama that has any story worth discussing. In that respect it has the same status to me that half hour comedy shows have. I didn’t get what’s to discuss about How I Met Your Mother either. It makes you laugh for half an hour and then you switch if off. End of story. ;)

    • I had a similar experience with Doctor Who, but what killed it for me is that in the episodes I’ve watched I haven’t been given a reason to like the Doctor. All the other shows I like have awesome, lovable leads, even the ones with various issues or the ones whose morals are questionable. The Doctor and Companion haven’t been made watchable for me yet and I’m not sure how many episodes I need to watch before that happens, even if I do like some of the talent playing the characters.

      • Watch the David Tennant episodes, he is a super likable Doctor.

        • Maybe I will some day. A lot of people have told me the same.

  5. If you are going to discuss Doctor Who guys, let the guys who know about the actual show talk. God it was so irritating.

    • I thought it was hilarious.

      • When Kofi said that he didn’t see it because he had a life I couldn’t help but think: “Yeah, reading Wonder Woman and Aquaman comics…” :D

    • When did Doctor Who fans become so grumpy? ;-)

I appreciate being called out for gushing about a time traveling alien who runs around in a blue Police box. I mean, c’mon… it’s all pretend – and making fun of each other is what we do!

    • Say no to censorship!

Only letting people who love a topic talk would make for a bad podcast… and a dishonest one.

      • I just thought the everyone could have discussed the episode a lot more if you guys didn’t complain about a couple things in an special that was over an hour long. ALso, I really think anyone who hasnt watched the show, really can’t like it if one starts in a random place in the series. I feel that anyone who wants to really understand the show has to watch the Doctor’s in sequence. Not from the very beginning, just from the new series. You will really understand what I am saying because I was one of those people. I was so skeptical about the show. Then I finally gave it a chance. It hooked me more and more and more.

        • Truth! I can say exactly that though. For example, you’re saying (and most people do) that a newcomer needs to follow along to get into it. So I can say (the same thing) that Doctor Who is not newcomer friendly at all, and that’s what I did about the 50th anniversary. Some shows have episodes that stand on their own because of the characters – this was not that for me, sadly.

You’ll be happy to know that I watched an Eccleston episode today, the 4th one I think of season 1. There were 25 farts in it.

  6. Hunger games
    Out of the furnace
    Thor 2
    Best man holiday
    Black nativity

  7. All I want is to see Chris Pratt go up against a bunch of dinosaurs with like a knife where he’s like stabbing a s*** load of dinosaurs to survive.

But I think kofi is right bi think it’s gonna be closer to rise of the planet of the apes. I think were gonna see Dino’s all over the world and it’s gonna be a movie setting up a world dominated by dinosaurs

  8. You guys are comin at jurassic world from several angles but I think its basically gonna be remake/echo of the first film where theres a park, somethin goes wrong and dinos get out but this time with more people, possibly an even more resort like settled island with hotels and such which I think would be great because my favorite part of the first film was when everything breaks loose and the rex gets out, so seeing that on a larger scale with different dinos intrigues me.

also scared of the water and what lies beneath?
    that is all.

    • I see your extinct monster and raise you this very much alive one…

    • I hope not! A re-tread of the first with a new park and a kid in trouble all over again would be a reboot, 22 years later or not. It’s gotta be a NEW story for me.

      • Maybe its because Ive watched the original recently and would like a better updated version of that concept.
Mans hubris and natures uncontrollable ferocity and all.
Plus yknow, itd look cool and stuff.
But if a swat like security team is installed on the island just in case that could add to it(more “clever girl” moments), cause Im not saying it will be exactly like the original but obviously the same idea.

  10. Idk rob Im no dr who follower but tuned into day of the doctor and followed it pretty well.

    • Cody, you’re a smarter person than I!

      • Well yeah, but I think its more about acceptance and familiarity with scifi tropes, specifically ones involving space/time.
Plus as anthony noted, its a long running legacy character, you just gotta go with it.

  11. 1. Hunger Game catching fire
