Tino says:

I think it looks completely boring and predictable. Also with the claw it kind of looks like they’re advertising Wolverine 3 if you see what im getting at.

greenknight333 says:

Very uninspired choice…very banal and like the post above tres boring..

SK47 says:

More like a poster for X-Men 3, Tino…should have used the group shot instead!

greenknight333 says:

The publicity still from a week or so ago was actually much more well thought out and had better promotional effect to me…

David Hasselbach says:

Banal, uninspired, predictable, looks like part 3…

Everything that went through my head seemed to have taken a detour through all the other heads first. :-)

Like greenknight said … the publicity still had way more impact than this thing.

mart09 says:

I think it’s pretty cool and badass. It shows all you need to know: the movie is about Wolverine and it stars Hugh Jackman. Personally, I don’t care for the rest… And all these said about reminding X3, excuse me but Wolvie has 3 claws, not 2 or 4! How could he possibly ‘display’ them in a different way than that in the poster?

greenknight333 says:

It’s not the fact that he was displaying three claws..He could have displayed just the middle claw and it would have been a better poster than this…It would have exhibited a little more creativity on the part of the marketing team for this film..This is BORING!!

huntthejest says:

I think the poster should be a Wolverine with Deadpool’s sword through his chest(held by deadpool in full costume) with an explosion behind them and gambit running in their direction in the distance. Cuz that sums up everything about this movie that people wanna see.

Gary says:

I would be more excited if we saw Logans Bone Claws.

Ken J says:

I immediately thought of the number 3 as well since he’s holding them straight up. In my opinion, a better poster if they wanted it to be simple like that, is a shot at around hip level, where the fist would hang down at rest, so you see the side of his leg, his fist, and the three claws, at a downward angle. That wouldn’t make you think of the number 3 since it’s not straight up, and anyone who knows Wolverine would know that’s what this is for right away. Same intended effect.

Ken J says:

LMAO @ huntthejest, that is about the funniest thing I’ve read all day… Someone should make that…

Davidhasselbach says:

@ mart09

It doesn’t remind us of X-Men3 because of the three claws, but the fact that they used the exact same position of the claws to get across that it was the 3rd part.
This poster here doesn’t make sense marketingwise.

Show the claws all you want, but this is just an alternate version of the X3 poster.

kyyle23 says:

I am so down on this movie, i just think it is gonna be a big pile of suck. Xmen 3 really sucked the life out of the franchise for me

David Hasselbach says:

@ kyyle23

X-Men 3 did some damage, but there’s still a rich “history” to discover.

I just think that nobody actually ASKED for this “origin” stuff.

In the end it’s the same for every movie:
if the did it well, it’ll be great.
Simple, true.

Rorschach says:

man why cant they just Reboot it already
and put gambit in the first X-man flik like he should have been in the first place.
i swear to chuck norris if they dont give him the Acent.
im gunna sH*t a Brick.

Doom3524 says:

Here is the thing with the poster. Yes, it looks like the 3 from the X3 poster, but you could also look at it as a W as the outside claws slant out to the sides. I am assuming thats what they were actually going for here.

I do agree that it is lacking thought though. I think a pic of him as a kid with the bone claws popping out would have been a better idea for an Origins poster.
