Official ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ Logo

In case you haven’t gotten your daily dose of Transformers: Dark of the Moon news, we’ve got another update. The official title logo has been released.

If you had any confusion over the title, this will clear it up. In the meantime, nothing has changed from the last two movies in terms of the overall look of the title.

Paramount and DreamWorks have stuck to a master plan with these films. Frankly, the font they use has become synonymous with the franchise. It brings back memories of the first teaser for Transformers. The way those letters transformed and then morphed into the release date was extremely cool.

Although we won’t see any letters moving until the anticipated first teaser, you can check out the official production logo below.

The only real confusion left over Transformers: Dark of the Moon was the title. Some thought it was The Dark of the Moon. Others thought it was Dark Side of the Moon - a la Pink Floyd’s awesome album. The confusion will never really end because the latter is a part of the national culture. I’ll always accidentally say “side.”

We actually spotted a temporary logo nearby the Chicago set. It was a sleek logo, but not as integral to the actual plot of the one above. It looks fantastic with the moon placed inside the title graphic.

It is interesting to note the difference between both logos. The temporary one was colorful and presented a more positive vibe. The official logo suggests an extremely dark movie, which may actually serve the franchise better.

A potential poster for Dark of the Moon floated around the Internet recently as well. Michael Bay says it’s a fake, but with the official logo it sure seems real (but who are we to question, eh?) . Ultimately, the logos and official images will continue a trend of a specific look consistent with the franchise.

What do you think of the new logo? Do you prefer it over the temporary one seen near the Chicago set?

  1. I was watching a behind the scenes thing on ET and when LaBeouf said it’ll be the best cause of a “better cast”, I laughed hard. Way to point fingers on Fox eh?

    • good point considering she’s the only change I’ve heard of, haha, but the best improvement the cast could have is less onscreen actors, and more use of the voice actors of the Transformers.

      • Love the logo by the way, the moon reflection is actually great.

  2. Hard to say a Victoria Secret model is more talented then Fox.

    • At least more attractive. Fox seemed too much like a trashy porn star than an actual actress.

      Anyway, I’m loving the logo.

      • Yeah she did, didn´t she? But don´t we all like trashy porn stars?

    • Kinda hard to have less talent than Fox… so worst case scenario, it’s a wash.

  3. dude this is the fiurst major thing this chick has been in of course shes gonna suck ass

  4. Lol Little Monster, You wouldn’t mind makin film with fox, don’t deny it j/k. I know it’s a long shot, but i heard rumors of Fox being killed before she left the film, if True i wonder if they would include those scenes just for the heck of it like flashback or somthing.

    • I think they most “explaination” about Fox’s absence will be that her and Sam broke up. Enter Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. But who knows, they never explained Barricade’s absence or any other character that didn’t return for Transformers 2, so I doubt they’ll spend much (if any) time explaining Mikaela’s departure.

  5. LMAO @ trashy porn star!

  6. I dunno, I’m no Megan fan for sure but the new chick looks like one of the animated talking fish from “Finding Nemo” when she talks and looks straight into the camera on the behind the scenes ET segement…

  7. Megan Fox has weird thumbs, Haha. Nice body, but weird thumbs. Anyway…

If you ask me the movie should’ve been titled; “Transformers: We’re actually trying this time”

Looking forward to this movie :)
