Yesterday, we got our first look at the upcoming action-filled crime drama, Takers, through Coming Soon’s exclusive first look at the poster and today we have the first official trailer.
Takers is directed by John Luessenhop and features a cast full of recognizable talent including Hayden Christensen, Paul Walker, Zoe Saldana, Idris Elba, Matt Dillon, Jay Hernandez, Chris Brown, Michael Ealy and Tip “T.I.” Harris.
Continue after the jump to watch the trailer.

The poster that found its way online courtesy of Coming Soon is poorly done and looks overly photoshopped. You can take a quick look here and click the image for the high-res version to really see what I mean.
Fortunately, the trailer for the movie is a step up from the quality of the one-sheet.
Watch and enjoy:
As you can probably derive from the teaser, Takers follows a notorious band of thieves who repeatedly and successfully rob banks to the confusion of the police. Now, they’re set on the one big job, the last job for the big money that will set their lives up for good. But with Matt Dillon (the main detective) on their tail and closing in, things may not work out as planned.
Some of the action parts look good but I can’t say the same for the dialogue, especially Paul Walker’s. I’m not excited to see this at the moment.
What do you think of the trailer?
Takers hits theaters February 19, 2010.

This looks fairly typical unless it can be one of those “oh, look how they did that by distracting me over here” sorta films.
Also, i think Paul Walker thinks he’s black.
My photoshop senses are tingling.
I mean really, they’re all B-list actors, was it so hard to get them all posed together for the poster? Lighting’s off, angles are wrong, heads are badly copied and pasted…
Trailer ain’t much better either. I’m thinking perhaps I’ll be skipping this one, the only actor who enticed me was Matt Dillon, but the story seemed weak and contrived and after Jumper, I can’t watch Christian Haydenson in anything again.
I agree with the one sheet, looks like a last minute job.
Urg, again with trailers basically giving everything in the movie! Even if I was going to see this, I already know what happens because of this trailer.
I think you mean Hayden Christianson Joshi lol
And I agree
I know, it’s a standing joke with me and a friend of mine that we say his name like that… we’re a simple folk.
I didn’t even need to see the trailer to know this will probably not be good. I just saw Paul Walker and Hayden Christianson and knew that it will fail.
On a LIGHTER note. This trailer looks kick ass. I agree with Kahless though seeing Hayden Christianson in this movie makes me a tad bit nervous. His bad acting destroys movies.
That poster/AD looks cheap. Sheesh man!
Hahaha! Chris Brown playing a violent criminal? How could you guys think this casting director isn’t top notch?
Really, did they need Beat Her Down Brown?
@ huntthejest,
I was waiting for that comment, lol
ill admit i will still watch this movie on dvd because i have no life
@ Patrick,
lol, we appreciate the honesty
Seriously? B list actors?
wow i personally think idris elba is by far my new favorite actor and he has a well established career.
paul walker-was good in fast and furious and the fast and the furious
matt dilon- has had some good roles
chris brown-sorry but he was actually really good in stomp the yard…the rest of his career sucks as much as nick cannons tho.
TI is a good actor i think…did you see american gangster?
Michael ealy is great if he was the kid from coach carter…i think he is but not sure.
hayden christiensen is good at being whiney and i also think he hasnt been given great characters in the past (anakin was written as a very whiney character!)
yeah over i think this is an amazing cast and im very excited for this movie.
