Carmina Burana – “O Fortuna” by Orff is a great suggestion. I can visualize it right now.

Are you thinking full blown orchestral battle theme alone or all out rock band assault as well?

I would prefer an orchestra in keeping with the classic mythological theme but I can also imagine a prog-rock band like RUSH or PORCUPINE TREE adding some great elements to the soundtrack.

I love the avengers comics. And somehow, I never really considered Thor as out of place in the context of the comic books. He plays a very important role and I loved the new take of Thor in the Ultimates. However, something doesn't seem to fit about Thor in the context of the Iron Man and Hulk movies. So, at this moment, I find that Thor works great in the comics, but I just can't wrap my mind around how he fits into the very real world the Tony Stark inhabits. I'm hoping, however, that the filmmakers CAN wrap their minds around it

What kind of a movie would "Avatar" have been if James Cameron removed the mystical concepts of the Na'vi and their worship of Eywa on Pandora?

Thor is an integral character of the MARVEL universe and a founding member of The Avengers. Some of the most fascinating storylines have been in seeing how this demi-god interacts and handles the technologies of us mere mortals within the confines of his team and against the adversaries they face.

Shall we also remove Dr Strange & Dr Druid as they work with forces outside of conventional scientific technologies?

What about Hercules who debuted in Avengers #10 (Nov. 1964) He doesn't really fit in either does he?

How about Dr Dooms' foray into the black arts and Agatha Harkness appearances in The Fantastic Four? She even helped The Avengers in their battle against Immortus and taught The Scarlet Witch for a while.

These themes and characters have always been a part of the MARVEL universe. I love mature treatments and accurate realistic adaptations of comic books, and these ideologies can co-exist and can be represented on the same playing field in the "real world". Read some MARVEL comic books before making such a divisional statement.

If technologically advanced and scientifically explained super heroes can have "real world" representations on screen so can The Mighty God of Thunder. "nuff said"

I can't wait for the soundtrack. Yeah there's the THOR vs. LOKI battles, but what will play in the background?

I am having a lot of trouble getting excited about this film. It takes the Marvel franchise out of the “real” world. I will see this film, but I just don't feel that Thor really fits into the very tech and science world of Iron Man and the Hulk.

I can't wait for this, the fact that is doesn't come out til next summer bums me out. Seeing Chris in The Perfect Getaway was enough for me to know he can achieve a dominating presence. Plus the addition of Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins? Holy freakin crap man, this movie is gonna blow everyone's mind.
