Looks pretty good to me. Wasn’t an incredibly written book but really kept you reading, very exciting. Think they should have actually made Hunter a movie but if anyone read the book the battle scenes are absolutely epic. Should be great on the big screen.

Well just like my posting in the other thread regarding this movie, the above confirms it 100%

It IS Stallone recycling his dormant HUNTER project based on the book by Huggins to use with John Rambo as I figured

UGH…..

what was a horrible book is sure to make a horrible movie……..

On the other hand, rereading the synopsis, it looks like they may be going for a commentary on the human capacity for violence and war in general. If so, there may be some meat here. Still, I’d rather see it tied to a real-life situation.

Oh please please please let this be a joke.

The Rambo movies have always dealt with real-life conflicts in sometimes cartoonish ways, but real-life conflicts nonetheless. This synopsis is a horrible deviation from that tried-and-true formula.

I don’t care if they make a movie about Mexican druglords or the Taliban or whatever real-world war catches Stallone’s fancy. If they do this half-baked Wolverine knock-off it will mean the end of the franchise.

Why don’t they just make “Rambo vs. Wolverine” and get it over with? Can’t get the rights? Then “Rambo vs. Hugh Jackman” (the audience will understand).

Rambo wouldnt be able to fight this thing alone.

its a teenage mutant ninja wolf version of him, for that to be enjoyable you have to make him a serious underdog with some crazy way to kill the thing in the end. A la terminator 2.

@manowar..the “nuke the fridge” thing originated with the newest indiana jones flick..indiana jones hops into an old refridgerator and rides out a NUCLEAR DETONATION without so much as a scratch, lol..basically something so absurd that it throws the rest of the movie out of context..i mean, how can u you genuinely worry about a mans safety in a fistfight with someone after he walked away from a nuclear blast with no problem?:P

I wonder if James Byron Huggins is involved with the script or screenplay at all as this sounds very much like a mash-up of his novels Cain and Hunter. I remember hearing awhile back that Sly had purchased the rights to Hunter, so maybe it will serve as the backbone for Rambo V.
