Three new official pictures have been released for The Expendables – the action epic that is (for some) next year’s most anticipated film. The images were released on the film’s official blog, which is run by set publicist Sheryl Main.
Two of the shots are pretty high on the action quota, while the other shows Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham on what looks like a reconnaissance mission.

Sly is ready for action.
The male version of America’s Next Top Model was fierce!
Does this remind anybody else of The Specialist? No? It’s just me then.
From these images it looks like The Expendables is jammed packed with action–although would you expect anything less from a film starring Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Oh – let’s not forget about Eric Roberts!
The Expendables is still slated for an April 10, 2010 release. We’ll give you more on the film as we get it.

Sly needs to get one more plastic surgery done. He needs someone to fix that lip of his. Who does he think he is, Elvis?
That lip thing he’s had from birth. It really doesn’t affect much though. It looks like it’s going to be a really cool movie.
This is going to KICK MAJOR BUTT! I cannot wait, Lionsgate should invite Zac Efron, Channing Tatum and all these boys to the premier so that after watching it, they can finally become men and not The Laughables.

idk, Tatum is going to be in GI Joe and has been a rumor to play Captain America, I think he’s becoming more of a man on his own. But yeah give Efron an invite lol
Tatum in what? That movie parading itself as a 2K version of Lionheart? Tatum as Captain America? I’d rather have John Cena as Steve Rogers!
I don’t know about Tatum, maybe after Public Enemies. If Michael Mann sees something in him, then he’s probably worth a look. If there is one ‘new’ guy out there that can take the action mantle, I would say it is Sam Worthington.
Austin seems to have a look which says “Bring it! This is nothing!”
Where as Roberts seems to be saying “Dear God! Why am I doing this in my best suit!”
Unfortunately, that part of Sly’s mouth is actually paralyzed. Plastic surgery wouldn’t help anything.
I’m a big fan of Sly and I am sooooooo excited to see this movie.
I’m still blown away by the cast.

I read a mention of Cena as a possible Captain America.
I think he reeeeeeeally looks the part but I’ve not seen any of his movies yet .

Stallone’s lip is what happens when your parents are poor and the guy who delivers you doesn’t know how to use the forceps properly. I’m looking forward to this as much as i looked forward to the final Rambo, which was worth the wait. Stallone is always at his best doing the triple threat so the odds are good that this will be worthwhile.
@RastaZen…awesome name first of all…I mentioned in the ‘Channing Tatum eyes Captain America’ thread about Cena that, yes he is a wrestler, but it is not easy to convince 23,000+ to buy into your story/fued against another guy. You have to have a charisma and a way to sell the plot. Some wrestlers can do this: Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, Sting, Kurt Angle, Hulk Hogan. Some just can’t. And you are doing this on Live TV so you have a huge audience nationwide.
Given the proper director, a good acting coach, etc., it is possible.
Anyone know if Chuck Norris was ever asked to join the cast?
@SK-47 Nice point on wrestlers.Cena would be a great Captain America. But then again people have rumored and begged that Batista play Marcus in Gears of War and we all remember that dreaded conversation between him and Shawn Michaels!
