The first official image from Iron Man 2 was supposed to be released tomorrow, but USA Today jumped the gun and posted it online tonight (thanks to /Film for the alert). The coolest thing about the image is that it seems to highlight Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr., of course) “Hall of Armor” from the comic book. It’s a room where he keeps all the different versions of his Iron Man armor.

Sorry I couldn’t find a color version of the image (I know there’s one out there somewhere), but I wanted to get this out to you sooner than later.
Here’s what director Jon Favreau had to say about the film’s production so far:
“How many superheroes are open about their true identities? We wanted to play with that idea. But it obviously has consequences — in his relationships, on the team. There are a lot of areas we can explore. It’s never easy with summer movies, but we’re trying to keep as much a surprise as possible,”
Just that one little pic is enough to light my fire in anticipation of Iron Man 2 – I can’t wait to see what Favreau shares at Comic-Con this July!

ok, The hall of armor looks awesome!!!! But i want to say something else here…look at the quote by Faverau. he is mentioning something about how this affects the team, can this lead to an Avengers cameo or a Hawkeye appearence?

@GK, interesting point. I read him talking about the team, but just thought he meant like his company, Rhodey, maybe working with SHIELD or whatever. We’ll have to wait and see I guess. “I am Iron Man”
Funny that the last quote from the movie (besides the after credits scene) is actually a quote from the song, not the comics lol.

and in the song, Iron Man is a hero that turns against the people after he is killed…..a bit of foreshadowing on Favs part?? Nah…..
I hope this movie is better thatn the first…which sucked.
