Steven says:

Well, I watched some dragonall on tv here, but not really fanatic, but this film could be a lot of fun if they make it right. The story is pretty fun so.

greenknight333 says:

I have zero interest in this..not my generation I guess..for the twenty-domethings

Rob says:

Snore!!!! lol, I’m a huge fan of Dragonball and DBZ but I have to tell you that this doesn’t do anything for me, well at least he has his trademark costume on, but I hope they kick it up a notch or else we’ll see it in the straight to dvd ailes

Man says:

Well the Japanese seem excited:

I guess pleasing one critic who goes with the crowd isn’t their main objective now is it?

Liz says:

Live-action video game adaptations are always risky, and the ones with the stylized characters like this always look silly to me. Ah well, we’ll see.

johnny-K says:

is was first a comic than a cartoon than a video game…. grrrrr…

INK says:

For a first TEASER poster I like it. It show Goku will have his outfit from the cartoons, so that to me, is a plus. Kofi’s right though, the next one better be extremely telling of the action in the movie. While I will certainly be there opening night, people without ay knowledge of DB or DBZ will be like … huh?

steven the git says:

I’m the same as Rob. I love DBZ, I went absolutely nuts for it when I first saw it and refuse to come to my senses, damnit.
But this movie has no appeal. Not even out of interest. Everything about it seems off to me and it sounds like it will be one of those live-action versions in name only.

That poster looks like some kid dressing up as Goku, and if he enterede a contest he’d be nowhere near the top ten.

Rob says:

I absolutely hate this type of anime television, and I can’t even begin to imagine this happening in live action. I have a feeling it will be awful.

btw, who’s this other Rob? lol

John "Kahless" Taylor says:

Why Justin Chatwin? To me, this is as bad as getting Leonardo Decaprio to play Ct. America. Oh, wait. :-)

Never could get into DB but loved DBZ. I just don’t know why they couldn’t get a better actor for Goku, at least someone who’s into martial arts. The other cast members seem fine. I will check it out but I am not at all bumped for it.

L.A says:

Huge DBZ fan here … but this poster looks like a well done cosplay poster.

Hes 2 skinny to be Goku. Maybe more of teen gohan or trunks or another support cast

will still be there opening night to watch it though.

goku says:

Ok serious guys, did you think they would make the movie the same as the series? Then the movie would be lame, and of course you can’t make them look the same it would be way to freaking hard and would probably look really lame, I’m a HUGE DB/DBZ/DBGT fan I have the complete series on dvd, all the movies and every game made for the ps2 and Wii. Now of course if they batch this up its going to suck but from everything I have seen and all the videos I have seen from them making it, its going to be good. Check out http://www.dragonballmovieblog.net/ has everything about it.

the old man says:

johnny-K, I agree Grr…

I wish it would break ground but my gut tells me it won’t. I liked the very first posted photo on this site better as a movie poster. I suspect it will be a fan indulgence at best. I don’t mind! I’m a little selfish with this series. I could care less whether my friends understand or like it or not. Most of my friends don’t even know that it exists. What I care about is that it holds up to the original Manga. Not that it should slavishly stick to the founding story but strike a balance between originality and continuity with the source. If some element doesn’t work then find a good one that does. For those not in the know I have a spoiler for ya so pass over this if you don’t want to know:

Rob B says:

I’m the other Rob (the one that loves DBZ), or you can call me RobB from now on, I believe you can translate dragon ball to the big screen if it’s done correctly, not like street fighter in where it absolutely stunk but if they do effects like they did in Casshern and casting like the upcoming watchmen movie (check out the trailer)Oh man, they nailed the characters perfectly, I think it would be cool. From what I have been seeing, I really can’t get excited about it yet, hopefully I’m wrong.

jaymie says:

i think the poster looks great! but i have to agree with the majority than for non db/dbz fans there needs to be more kick. i guess we all jst have to wait for the trailer

jay says:

this is really going to suck. goku doesnt even look strong. he has gokus jaw but not his muscle. and chi chi is too young. and all though im a big fan of chow yun fat, i think his look takes away from roshis character. wtf were they thinking with this lame script. non dbz fans will probably think its too corny
