Wow.

I am a big MECHA fan so this just upped my enthusiasm for this movie 10x.

Matt Keith says:

Those are awesome, but the first pic kind of reminds me of “the harvester” from the new terminator.

BJ Jones says:

Finally we’re going somewhere with this Avatar project. All we need now is a trailer.

Stephen says:

Well I’m going to venture to guess that the trailer will show before a movie that is going to be shown in IMAX 3D, so I’m going to guess Transformers 2 when it comes out June 26th as the first movie to preview the highly anticipated Avatar. Any other movies coming out after that showing in IMAX 3d that could show the trailer first if I’m wrong about Transformers?

EnglishGavz says:

I need to see a trailer. I just can’t imagine technology I haven’t seen yet because, uh, yeah, I haven’t seen it.

Oscar! says:

The last one looks like the Hornet from Halo 3 :)

Cat says:

Cool looking stuff. Nothing special though

Andy S says:

I am not excited about this movie at all. Not even a little. Maybe as I see a trailer or some info about what the movie is ABOUT, I can get a bit excited. But right now, nope, nothing.

Aaron says:

go to earlier avatar posts, it tells what its about

790 says:

Looks like something I’ve seen before in countless video games.

Btw, does this film really have massive buzz? Outside the blogosphere hardly anyones heard of this project…

Ken J says:

Finally, something, maybe this means some footage is coming soon, although it might not do it justice in 2D, although according to some people, making a 2D movie 3D automatically makes the movie rely on gimmicks, somehow the story changes from good to bad magically, so it might be a good thing?? lol

Johnny Darknight says:

Is it just me or does the Alien aircraft look like a smaller version of the machine aircraft from Terminator?

ken says:

I am a little disappointed. It looks like your typical sci-fi adventure film with tons of big machinery. After months and months of praise, I was expecting something a little bit more original.

ken says:

… something a little bit more visionary, such as “2001: A Space Odyssey.”

Ken J says:

So Cameron said recently that we will see some footage from Avatar “really soon.”

Any rumors of which movie might have a teaser for Avatar?

And for you guys who get headaches from 3D movies, just like with ANY 3D movie so far, there will be non-3D showings, so stop complaining, lol. :-P

Ken J says:

@ken

I don’t know, I’m glad the tech looks practical and “lived in” and isn’t the typical shiny white polished look like they prefer form over function in the future or something…

Fenix says:

Ok let me explain something to you people… this movie is simply going to be huge. This will for sure be one of those benchmark films that is suspended in time forever. The tech behind these cameras is insane. Cameron said it took him 9 years to create this technology. The same guy who did Aliens, T2, Titanic… cmon hes got something up his sleeve. Anyways, he said viewing this movie is almost like being in a lucid dream state… I don’t know about you but that sounds intense!!

I seriously doubt that’s a legit video.
