JMoney, I think you underestimate my Terminator fanboyism. It’s not a movie I loved seeing “back in the day.” I regularly watch T1 and T2 all the time, I never get sick of it, T2 especially. T1 was a low budget B-movie, but was done so well that you get all of the suspense and drama of a big budget blockbuster. T2 was a big budget blockbuster with the even more attention to detail, and is probably the closest to a perfect movie as anyone is going to get in my opinion.

So I know what you’re getting at, but in my mind, doing a Terminator movie is more important than a Godfather movie.

I’m a Terminator geek, what can I say, lol.

I didn’t have time to Rorschach blot the guy, I’m just saying that he was quick to make all the McG jokes that everyone would have (or are, on this site at least) made. I appreciate a person who can be self-deprecating. As to the semantics of ego vs. non-ego, I’ll leave that to you to decide.

Ken J, hahaha, all I meant was that it wasn’t like he is making Godfather IV. As long as the wicked action is there and the cheesy dialogue is sparce then the movie will be decent. People tend to gloss over the faults of their favourite old movies, go bac and watch T1, it isn’t masterpiece theatre, but it is a wicked action movie. And I think McG has the ability to pull that off.

I’m over 40 years old, and have NEVER seen a “charismatic” person, who did not have a MONUMENTAL ego, so saying that he isn’t “egotistical,” is extraordinarily hard to believe. I’m not saying ego is necessarily a bad thing all the time, but lets call an orange an “orange,” huh?

Bill Clinton was likely the most charismatic person in the last 20 years to come around, a really nice guy, but the guy ooooozed EGO. Too bad you have to practically be a social scientist to decipher other people’s politically correct posts, and get to the truth anymore.

I don’t get all the fanboy McG bashing. The first Charlies Angel’s was pretty good, the second watchable. We are Marshall was a really solid sports film.
I guess its the silly name!

I am excited to see the movie, I’m trying to give McG the benefit of the doubt because really, the terminator movies are just action movies, and he’s shown he can do action. But what really pisses me off about this guy is how he always seems to make it out like he was stuck with the name McG, like it’s out of his hands. Just start going by your real name for god sakes. It’s not like someone is making you go by that name, it’s your choice, if you “hate McG too” then stop calling yourself McG!

How great this movie is will decide how bright McG’s director future is. So far, I’m pretty excited and liking a lot of what I see/hear (minus Bale’s outburst).
