Actor Daniel Radcliffe has done plenty to diversify his resume since the Harry Potter movie franchise came to a conclusion (well, sort of) in 2011, but it's going to be hard to resist making wizard jokes since Radcliffe has been cast in Now You See Me 2, the upcoming sequel to Louis Leterrier's 2013 movie about a team of stage magicians who pull off impossible heists.

Now You See Me 2 was put on the production fast track by Lionsgate following the box office success of the first film, and has already been boldly slated for a summer 2016 theatrical release. Radcliffe was revealed to be playing the son of Michael Caine's character, Arthur Tressler, by Caine himself during an interview last month, and Masters of Sex actor Lizzy Caplan was recently said to be in talks to play the female lead, since Isla Fisher won't be returning for this sequel.

Lionsgate has now officially revealed the cast and synopsis for Now You See Me 2, confirming Radcliffe and Caplan's roles in the process. Radcliffe's character is called Walter and Caplan's is called Lula, which means that she'll be playing a new character rather than replacing Fisher in the role of Henley Reeves. The other new addition is Taiwanese actor Jay Chou (The Green Hornet), who will play a character called Li. Here's the synopsis:

One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public’s adulation with their mind-bending spectacles, the Four Horsemen resurface in Now You See Me 2 only to find themselves face to face with a new enemy who enlists them to pull off their most dangerous heist yet.

While Caplan may not be playing Henley, it seems likely that she will be filling in Fisher's place in the quartet. Meanwhile Walter Tressler sounds like a good candidate for the new antagonist, since the first film left him with plenty of reason to dislike the Four Horsemen. Jesse Eisenberg, Dave Franco, Woody Harrelson, Morgan Freeman, Mark Ruffalo and Michael Caine will all be reprising their roles, but there are no immediate clues as to who Chou's character is. A rival magician, perhaps?

Now You See Me 2 was scripted by Pete Chiarelli (The Proposal) and Ed Solomon (who co-wrote Now You See Me), and will be directed by Jon M. Chu (G.I. Joe: Retaliation). Production is expected to begin in December, which should leave plenty of time to perfect those crazy magic effects in post-production.

Now You See Me 2 will arrive in theaters on June 10th, 2016.
