It's just that now a larger percentage of screen time is dedicated to that stuff whereas back in the day it was restricted to maybe 10-15 minutes at the end of the film. I may end up co-producing a bloody violent horror film a friend of mine is doing, but I still would like to see a return to the stuff I grew up on. What was the excuse for the Romans setting lions upon Christians 2,000 years ago? For that matter what about cage fighting, WWF wrestling, etc.?
