The darkest age of Nightwing may finally be showing some light at the end of the tunnel. Now that Dick Grayson--sorry, Richard Grayson has realized that his retirement as Nightwing was no decision at all, but a case of conditioning and mental deception, his mind is as clear as it's been in months. Clear enough to find out the man he's going to become... as the image of Nightwing looms large in his mind once more.

By now fans have caught the basic plot points of the series thus far, and how a bullet to Nightwing's head set a lengthy chain of events into motion. A scheme decades in the making, hatched by the Court of Owls to guarantee Dick Grayson's great-grandfather, William Cobb could pass the 'Talon' mantle to him. False memories were finally seen for their lies, and Dick confronted the doctor who implanted them to begin with (while wearing a new red costume, we might add). But with the slate wiped clean, is Dick starting over? Or is his past as Nightwing seeming more and more like the life he chose already?

It won't be an easy question for Richard Grayson to answer -- especially once Joker's new girlfriend Punchline arrives to take control of him, too. Here's hoping he can survive the confrontation with the Joker on the way, as he seems closer to embracing his Nightwing calling then he has in month. Fans hoping that Dick's mission would provide a clear path back to his beloved role as Nightwing will have a bit longer to wait. Despite setting out to find Dr. Haas, and determine if he is "Ric Grayson, Talon... or Dick Grayson, Nightwing," he ends up no closer to being restored. Which means his best chance at remembering who he really is won't come from his loved ones, or friends... but when the Joker comes to kill him. Stay tuned.
