Night at the Museum has become one of the bigger live-action family-friendly movie franchises of the last few years, thanks in part to the comedic sensibilities of leading Ben Stiller and the fantastical fun of director Shawn Levy's (Real Steel) visual style. Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb looks like it will continue in that tradition.

This time around, museum guard Larry Daley (Stiller) is on a globe-spanning quest to save the magic source that brought to life the exhibits and characters on display at the museum - including Jedediah (Owen Wilson), Octavius (Steve Coogan), and of course, Teddy Roosevelt (Robin Williams).

With new additions like Dan Stevens as Sir Lancelot and Rebel Wilson as a wisecracking British security guard, Night at the Museum 3 is offering fans a nice mix of something old and new - with some much improved special effects on things like living Dinosaur fossils and statue lions.

Of course, there is the sad footnote that this will also mark one of the last times we get to see Robin Williams perform onscreen - a bittersweet thought to be having while trying to enjoy some movie fun with the family over the holidays.
