MTV’s sister station MTV2 is joining forces with singer\actor Nick Cannon’s production company NCredible Entertainment to resurrect the highly-popular sketch comedy show, Nick Cannon Presents Wild ‘n Out – but the team will rejig the successful improv series specifically for the network’s target audience.

Set for a 2013 debut, the updated version of Nick Cannon Presents Wild ‘n Out will of course feature the return of Nick Cannon, but the new series will focus more on Cannon searching high and low for the next big thing in comedy as he finds the newest upcoming comedic talent to join him on the show. Along with Cannon, the fresh version of Wild ‘n Out will also bring back some familiar celebrity faces from previous seasons of the original series.

MTV2’s Nick Cannon Presents Wild ‘n Out is holding open auditions and casting calls via the NCredible Website for aspiring comedians looking to break into the industry, as well as offering info on the new and original version of Wild ‘n Out.

In a recent statement Cannon spoke on behave of his NCredible Entertainment company to talk about his excitement for the upcoming reboot of Nick Cannon Presents Wild ‘n Out and what we can expect from the new show. Cannon said:

“I get asked every day when ‘Wild ‘N Out’ will be back, I’m thrilled to announce that the show will be making its long awaited return very soon – bigger and better. With our show’s original cast, everyone from Kevin Hart to Katt Williams, Affion Crocckett and Taran Killam becoming household names, I am looking forward to working with MTV2 as we work to introduce the biggest comedic stars of tomorrow with the return of Wild ‘N Out.”

Paul Ricci, Senior Vice President of Programming and Production for MTV2 added to Cannon’s sentiment by saying:

“Building on our long-standing relationship with Nick Cannon, we are ecstatic to welcome his creative genius back to the MTV family, The re-mixed Wild ‘N Out will deliver a high-energy, clever and hilarious addition to MTV2′s original programming line-up.”

The original Wild ‘n Out was created, written, produced and hosted by Cannon and ran on MTV from 2005-2007. The sketch comedy series featured two teams of both  up-and-coming comedians and celebrity guests going head-to-head in a series of “improv battles”  - with popular A-List celebs included Tyra Banks, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Lil’ Wayne and Katt Williams all making an appearance. Wild ‘n Out also became one of MTV’s highest rated shows in the network’s history, which gave the series multiple reunion episodes after its 2007 cancellation.

However, despite the show’s popularity, Wild ‘n Out was not without its share of controversy – most notably the March 2007 season 4 episode featuring 50 Cent that was subsequently banned by MTV and MTV2, due to constant profanity and sexual activities by the participants. While some may say that’s what made the original WnO so entertaining, the updated version is expected to tone down the profanity and sexual context a bit to fit better with MTV2.

Sound off below:  Would you rather Nick Cannon Presents Wild ‘n Out stay really wild – or its time to clean it up a bit?

  4. keep it wild it’s wild n out not tone it down lol

  5. I cant wait for this show to come back
And even if they have old or new its going to be a hit all i can say is LOOKN FOWARD FOR THE SHOW TO HIT MTV

  6. I hope Rasika Mathur is gonna be back on the show. That girl so is fine. And funny as hell! and FINE. Did I say that?

  7. Wild ‘n Out was worthless for me without Taran or Mikey. I hope they return.

  8. Affion better be back, he kept the show alive!

  9. Im so excited that wild `n out is coming back

  10. All of the sexual content and profanity on the MTV channels everyday and you’re telling me that they are gonna put a censorship on this show. It better not be over the top censors otherwise there’s no point.

  12. keep it the same. But don’t bleep nun out

  13. Wild N’ Out was one of my favorite shows back in the day. Keep it the same because thats what originally got it as popular as it is. P.s., bring back Affion, Leonard, and Spanky!

  14. Bring back rob hoffman, spanky hayes, katt, affion crocket, leanord robinson, dee ray, mikey day and then it will be the best show on mtv easily and have daniel tosh come and mess around.

    • Amen to your comment. Rob Hoffman was AMAZING on the show and so was Dee Ray. Along with them, Leonard, Spanky, KATT and Mikey were among my favourites. All of them were hilarious

  15. keep it the same,if not its not going to last long… true chiz

  16. Keep it the same. Bring old school back!

  17. I say leave it wild. It’s called Wild n’ Out for a reason. Comedy is meant to be raw and uncut and there should be no limits. Let them be their funny selves.

  18. I also hope Wild ‘n Out remains as wild as it once was, that’s what made the show great in the first place. I think it’s b******* for MTV2 to tone down the show when most of their shows contain some form of sexual tone to them. Leave the show as it is, after all, it’s called Wild ‘n Out, NOT Mild ‘n Out!!!

  19. Bring Katt Williams back. Don’t turn your back on him. He stood with you.

  20. DON’T CHANGE IT! WnO was funny mostly because of the sex jokes and profanity.

  21. How do you apply for wild N out?

  22. It should stay wild! The ratings for the show will drop if It doesn’t stay wild! Matter of fact it should get wilder!

  23. i thought the new season started tonight. ijs

  24. Hi!!! I saw you said you were in NYC. I would like to be in the audience. Can u please contact me. Thank you! !

  25. I’m excited about WnO returning, hell I still watch the old ones. So let’s continue to keep it real. Clean it up when the audience starts to complain!!!!!

  26. Glad to hear the news i tweeted to you asking for your return i love this show so u know me and my husband will be tuned in thanks mtv2 also cant wait..

  27. they are, i put alot more detail in the reapers, spent alot more time on them. They are a more complex shape that had to be modeled anyways

  28. I’m a fan of the show but the only problem with the show is when it comes down to the Freestyles…Nick Cannon always tries to rap n goes no where n his diss lines aren’t even good n they still give him the points cuz of course he’s the host of the show. Be fair about it…ur diss lines suck Nick Carey!!!

  29. You guys should bring eminem on wildnout that would be sick

    • I agree 100%!!!
