MTV’s sister station MTV2 is joining forces with singer\actor Nick Cannon’s production company NCredible Entertainment to resurrect the highly-popular sketch comedy show, Nick Cannon Presents Wild 'n Out – but the team will rejig the successful improv series specifically for the network's target audience.

Set for a 2013 debut, the updated version of Nick Cannon Presents Wild 'n Out will of course feature the return of Nick Cannon, but the new series will focus more on Cannon searching high and low for the next big thing in comedy as he finds the newest upcoming comedic talent to join him on the show. Along with Cannon, the fresh version of Wild 'n Out will also bring back some familiar celebrity faces from previous seasons of the original series.

MTV2’s Nick Cannon Presents Wild 'n Out is holding open auditions and casting calls via the NCredible Website for aspiring comedians looking to break into the industry, as well as offering info on the new and original version of Wild 'n Out.

In a recent statement Cannon spoke on behave of his NCredible Entertainment company to talk about his excitement for the upcoming reboot of Nick Cannon Presents Wild 'n Out and what we can expect from the new show. Cannon said:

"I get asked every day when 'Wild 'N Out' will be back, I'm thrilled to announce that the show will be making its long awaited return very soon - bigger and better. With our show's original cast, everyone from Kevin Hart to Katt Williams, Affion Crocckett and Taran Killam becoming household names, I am looking forward to working with MTV2 as we work to introduce the biggest comedic stars of tomorrow with the return of Wild 'N Out."

Paul Ricci, Senior Vice President of Programming and Production for MTV2 added to Cannon’s sentiment by saying:

"Building on our long-standing relationship with Nick Cannon, we are ecstatic to welcome his creative genius back to the MTV family, The re-mixed Wild 'N Out will deliver a high-energy, clever and hilarious addition to MTV2's original programming line-up."

The original Wild 'n Out was created, written, produced and hosted by Cannon and ran on MTV from 2005-2007. The sketch comedy series featured two teams of both  up-and-coming comedians and celebrity guests going head-to-head in a series of "improv battles"  - with popular A-List celebs included Tyra Banks, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, Lil' Wayne and Katt Williams all making an appearance. Wild 'n Out also became one of MTV's highest rated shows in the network's history, which gave the series multiple reunion episodes after its 2007 cancellation.

However, despite the show’s popularity, Wild 'n Out was not without its share of controversy – most notably the March 2007 season 4 episode featuring 50 Cent that was subsequently banned by MTV and MTV2, due to constant profanity and sexual activities by the participants. While some may say that’s what made the original WnO so entertaining, the updated version is expected to tone down the profanity and sexual context a bit to fit better with MTV2.

Sound off below:  Would you rather Nick Cannon Presents Wild 'n Out stay really wild - or its time to clean it up a bit?
