The last Bond film, "Casino Royale," was by far the best and Criag fit the Bond character very well. It was so refreshing to not have invisible cars, gadgets that even 4th graders would attempt to build if they had all the money, that I actually saw it three times.

Stupid lines like: "Don't worry I've got my trusty laser ring that also subs as a dog whistle. You never know when these objects will come in handy." — I can take a guess. Yeah, somewhere in the movie.

"We're about to drown and all Q gave me was an unwaterproof ring that can call dogs. What are we supposed to do?"

I like corny films. I don't like corny films that try to get serious and I hate it when serious films try to get corny. Talk about taking the viewer out of the picture.

People want to be entertained and the fasted way to screw this up is to keep pulling the audience back to reality every five minutes so they can check their watch.

Bad guys and good guys don't chit chat when they fight. This is bad. This is the stuff Mike Myers makes fun of.

"Casino Royale" was well written, dry and filled with action that didn't require a lot of CGI. Honestly, I was getting tired of James Bond, not only have they at the time made 20 films, there are all the copycats, and wannabes that have rolled into our theaters, some even to great success. The old James Bond Character is worn and a part of history. Craig's Bond is new and alive. I wanted something new, I wanted a movie with grit and grim and original. Everything Bond did in this movie did not require a "super hero" to pull off.

All through the film I believed Craig was human and although I knew he wouldn't die, any of his supporting cast would and thius gave a good number of suspence.

I'm just curious as to what `kind` of humour.

Yeah, the Brosnan comedy is washed out and nobody wants that again -- but if it's more comedy like the torture scene, I might not have a problem with that.

Shane,

I agree with you completely. I did NOT like reading that they wanted to inject more humor into the next Bond movie. That goes totally against the gritty tone they set in the previous one.

I have to agree with this. Casino Royale was the best Bond movie in years, possibly decades, and I don't want to see the franchise sink back into what it was before the reboot.

They really should keep the serious tone in the next movie, and thereby keep the quality of the franchise as high as possible. Lose the gadgets and lose the out of place humor, and don't try to search for them.
