up poster New Up Trailer Reveals More Story DetailsA brand new full length trailer for Disney Pixar’s Up has debuted for the weekend and if you have seen Watchmen, there’s a chance you’ve already seen it.

While my Thursday midnight screening of Watchmen didn’t have the new Star Trek trailer, it did have this one and I’m happy it did as it had the whole crowd laughing and smiling.

This third trailer for Up finally presents us with a bit of the adventure that the main characters go on in the film. The first trailer only showed the bitter 78-year old Carl Fredricksen launch his home into the skies with the use of balloons and him meeting Russell (the young boy scout).

The best part of the trailer (for me) is meeting a new main character, Dug. Dug is a golden retriever dog who can speak – you’ll quickly see why he’s my favorite.

Watch and enjoy:

We also get to meet the villainous mad scientist Charles Mudds who’s voiced by the talented Christopher Plummer.

The scenes with Dug and the giant colorful bird brought big laughs in our sold out show of Watchmen and I think most are pretty excited to see it – I know I am.

May is the ultimate movie month for 2009. We have X-Men Origins: Wolverine on the 1st, Star Trek on the 8th, Angels & Demons on the 15th, Terminator Salvation on the 21st and Up opens May 29, 2009!

  1. Rob we didn’t get the STar Trek trailer but we got the Up trailer and it really did get quite a few laughs..what I really like about the Pixar films is that a lot of the humour is subtle and if you get it, it is hilarious…I am really looking forward to this movie too…this summer just seems like it has so much more to offer than last summer..am I the only one who thinks that?

  2. I’m really looking forward to this one – I was one of the few that didn’t love Wall-E and this looks like a return to what I’m used to from Pixar.

  3. I just LOVED this trailer. It does everything it’s supposed to do – gives us a feel for the movie, gives us hints at what the story is without giving too much away, it’s funny but you can tell they haven’t just used all the best parts in the trailer, on and on. This really does look like another winner from the wondrous studio that is Pixar.

  4. Yah, this looks pretty funny. I usually like these animated movies, the only recent one I didn’t like was Wall-E. Wonder if I can get anyone else to go watch this with me in May, lol.

  5. @ Greenknight;

    I seem to recall only one movie last summer, are you saying there were others? ;)

    If I laugh as much when I see the movie as I did for this trailer, I’ll need to see it twice (at least) to actually see the whole thing.

    I’d bet that dog steals every scene its in!

  6. EXCELLENT! True to Disney sense! Now this is funny! Can’t wait to see it!
