Got some new pictures from the upcoming adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling book, Twilight.
The new images seem to offer a glimpse at some of the more climatic parts of the film. One picture shows a bunch of pasty people in baseball uniforms looking vexed about… something. The last two are of bad-boy vampire James (Cam Gigandet) about to chow down on Bella’s (Kristen Stewart) hot blood, while good-boy vampire Edward (Robert Pattinson) sprints through the forest, probably trying to save the day.

Rest assured, now that Meyer’s fourth and final installment of the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn, has flown off bookstore shelves at record pace, the Twilight movie is going to bigger than Dracula.
Seriously though, it will be interesting to see how the Twilight films stack up against the Harry Potter films at the box office–though Harry has the distinct advantage of having his creator get better with every book she completed. (That Half-Blood Prince trailer looks pretty sick!)
Twilight is set for a December 12, 2008 release. It’s directed by Catherine Hardwicke. Check out the pics below, and be sure to check out Screen Rant’s Twilight crib sheet if you’re over the age of seventeen and have no idea what all this hoopla is about.

Is it just me, or does this film look not-good…everything I’m seeing points to high-school quality soap opera horror.

I honestly can’t wait for this film. The pics look amazing and so is the story. I have read the books ( in record time I might add) and this story is breathtaking. I love the books and I will go see this movie. Personally I’ld chose Twilight over Harry Potter any day of the week.

I seriously can’t wait for this movie to come out! Everyting that i have seen so far about the movie has looked amazing and true to the books, which I have re-read a couple times each. And I agree with Megan on the whole Twilight over Harry Potter thing.

I really love the books and I really wanted to love the movie…but…from what I’ve seen, cheesy is the only word I can think of to apply to it.
I’ve read both Harry Potter and the Twilight Saga and I’ve become more obsessed with Twilight rather than Potter. Now I like them both. I will say Potter is very mature and her skills are better than Stephenie Meyers but I do enjoy how creative Stephenie came up with these characters and what they can do and how there are “good” vampires. I’ve never been a Buffy fan or Charmed but I did find this very appealing. I can’t wait for the movie.

ok I LOVE the books but the movie from what I have seen looks like it will really suck. The characters don’t fit with the book. It doesnt seem to me that this is the way Stphanie wanted it to be like. but i want to see the movie because i mabey wrong and i hope i am.

I just started the book the night before and I’m 100 pages into the new one. I have to say anyone to captivate my attention like that is an amazing writer. I have to say though by the images of the movie I was disappointed. No offence but who is doing their make-up? Yes, I’m qualified to say this I’m a Cosmo and in the near future I want to do movie make-up. As much experience as I have I think I could do better witch is sad. I think their eyes could be darker. Mine are darker then their’s. I thought Emmett should be bulkier like in the book. He needs a body suit or something. lol and what is up with the baseball outfits hummm…. I will still go see the move but I hope it’s better then I predict.

Love the books! i think the movie looks good but some of the charectors seem off by a bit, im kind of disappointed in the guy who plays Edward, due to the fact that edward is so stunning in my mind that i dont think a beauty like that is really possible. Bella is good and so are some of the others. although i did think rosalie should have been someone else.

ok i love the books and the movie looks good they did an AWSOME job at picking the characters all of the people saying that they’re disappointed at either who the characters are or that from what they’ve seen it isn’t good, and just being a complete critic are stupid, it is going 2 be a really good movie the reason why things 2 you don’t look together is because the only thing you could have seen were the 2 trailors and pictures (which there isn’t a lot 2 begin with). Rob is an excellent actor and i don’t particularly think anyone else could have pulled it off because the vampire look is very hard 2 capture and i think he did a terrific job at that and because not only do you have 2 capture the look, you have 2 be able 2 act the part and i can’t imagine anyone doing a more wonderful job and as for the people playing Emmett and Rosalie again 2 very excellent actors there is nothing wrong with this film and the people saying that it doesn’t look like it’s what Stephenie Meyer wanted is being ridiculous because she wrote the book and she’s not going 2 let someone make a film of her book without it looking like she wants it 2 so i know that the movie is going 2 excellent!!!

I think the movie will be GREAT! I can not wait. I just finished re-reading all 4 books and I feel like reading them again. I hope no one gets to terribly mad @ me 4 saying this but remember this is only my opinion, I don’t think Robert Patterson (Edward)is going to beable to pull it off…I mean Edward in the book is breathtakinly beautiful and smart and brilliant and I just don’t think he will be able to pull it off, but I HOPE I am wrong because I think it will ruin the movie for me…BUT I KNOW IT WILL BE GREAT I AM PROBABLY JUST OVER THINKING…. Seriously, im nervous about the movie….i mean there are parts of the trailer that look cheap…like the filming and stuff, ya know? Im a huuuuge rob fan..but there’s this part in the trailer where he makes this funky face after james says “you brought a snack” and it made me laugh soooo hard.
All im saying is, they killed Eragon in the movie adaption…I mean it was the worst movie i have EVER seen, which pissed me off to no end because i adore the series. They better not do the same crap to twilight or we’ll never hear the end of it from the crazy HP fans.
But im still excited about the movie…even with the cheap filming. Keep your fingers crossed its not as bad as the first teaser trailer.

i heard their already talking about creating New Moon! It took be my surprise because i have heard from several other people that they only intended to create Twilight and thats it….i think its a great a idea to do all four books but how the hell are they gonna pull off BD without having to change a bunch of stuff? I dont know about you guys but i dont think i want to see the renesmee’s birth on the silver screen…i mean it sounded more bloody than the beginning battle of Saving Private Ryan…ewww.
To tell you the truth i was never a book reader nor i am still a book reader. I have read books only becuase i had to but when my friend told me to read this i started to an was blowm away that i have read all the book and was amazed at myslef i have never like a book until i read twilight.. (sighs) again the reason why some things may look wierd now is because its a trailor it gives you bits of pieces in the movie but nothing that gives them away trust me it is going 2 be a GREAT movie and also again stephenie meyer would not let it go out if it wasn’t what she thought it would be if it wasn’t what she saw when she wrote the book then she would tell them and they would change it 2 her liking but also they have 2 change things around and take things out because they can’t make the movie as long as the book is they have 2 shorten it into a possible 2 hour maybe longer movie if they put in every little detail thats in the book it would probably maybe be 4 hours idk im not good at estimating but that’s my estimate

i’m hooked on the twilight books they are absolutely amazing! stephenie meyer is an amazing writer with origionality, unlike Rowling who discreetly steals things from other authors (ie tolkien and pratchett).
i think a guy at the top said something about the film looking cheesy and like a high school horror. well for starters it’s a romance! and secondly how can you make a comment like that when you have never read the books? if he read them i bet he would twig how awesome they were too..

This is my PERSONAL opinion:
I believe that the movie is going to be as close to the book as possible. Most of the actors starring in the film have read the books and are fans of it, so they’ll probably protray the characters as they saw it in the heads. Stephenie Meyer sat down with the screenplay writer Melissa Rosenberg and helped write the script. Remember, the movie almost didn’t happen!!
As for Robert Pattinson playing Edward, i think he’s going to be amazing. He has to look beautiful and terrifying at the same time — thats going to be hard to pull off. And now every time i read the books, i see these actors as the characters((you have to admit that we all see it playing our heads as we read the books)). Though, Rosalie COULD be prettier and Emmett COULD be bulkier but still, at least we get a movie.
Please, remember that this is MY PERSONAL OPINION and if you dont agree with me, then you dont agree with me–its an opinion, it ranges from person to person.
P.S. ten bucks says that Harry Potter got scared of the competition!! lol. ((i do love the H.P. books,tho))

i do agree with jessica 100% she is totally right robert pattinson has a very difficult part and i think he has done a terrific job now some of you may think “she’s a total robert pattinson fan” wrong i didn’t become a robert pattinson fan until i saw the twilight trailer i didn’t even recognize him at first he looks sooo different from the harry potter movie so that has 2 tell you something
I am like one of the hugest Twilight fans ever, and i cannot wait for the movie to come out!!! I am totally crazy about anything twilight. There are some people out there blaming Twilight on the release date for Harry Potter - lemme assure u guys, twilight had absolutely no influence in that!

I, too, was soo shocked when i saw those pictures of Robert Pattinson as Edward, Sarah. i’ll admit that at first, i wasnt sure that he was going to be a good Edward but then i saw the first trailer and i was like, “oh my god!! hes going so absolutely amazing!!” then, of course, i shouted, “mom, you HAVE to watch this!!” lol.
And, Cindy, is rite. The only reason i said that was because so many people(mostly girls) were fans of the Harry Potter series before Twilight. So, if you’re a fan of the H.P. series and the Twilight Saga but since the movies were supposed to come out so close together and you could only see one, what would have chosen to see?
P.S. Reminder, this is my personal opinion. Just want to make sure everyone sees and understands that.

Harry Potter was good but Twilight is simply so amizingly breathtaking.Til now what ive seen of the film looks great and the actors seem really qualified for the film.

i saw that someone wrote that the filming was poor,well thats only coz the trilers and teasers are not yet all edited.as for the actors i think they are really great ,expecially pattison.someone also wrote that the characters are not as “stunning” as meyer says they are.well try findin someone as “dazzling” as Meyer describes Edward in the book,its imposswible!!

&& delphina alias sara, you are in a huge dilemma. Midnight Sun is fantastic but now everytime you’re going to read Twilight, you’re going to wonder what Edward is thinking after it stops. Stephenie Meyer wrote it amazingly (like all her books). Part of me really regrets ever reading it yet i’m glad that i did. (She gave you permission on her website to read it, that’s the only reason why my mom and i read it)

oh my god! i love this book so much! i have only read new moon the second book in the saga . these books are so amazing they are so much fun to read i love all of the romance and all of the a action and the drama, in the book. i can’t wait to see the movie in November!!!i am so happy that they changed the date for the movie to come out because i really do not think that i could wait for the movie to hit thaetres in December.
First of all there is no need to try and prove your point. People are going to have their own opinion, some people will think the characters fit, some wont.
Also people have different opinions on beauty and all kinds of stuff like that, so when they describe Edward in the book, even though he is described well everyone is going to see them differently in their head because they have a different idea of what that will look like.
I have to admit that I did picture almost all of the characters looking different, but I am not all angry about it!
Also if you really think about it Stephenie Meyer was there to approve of everything and she was even there on set to over see things sometimes. This movie is her vision. It is her book come alive! So it’s kind of like we get to see exactly what she was writing about!!
I am super excited for this! And for those of you true twilight fans(who read the books)remember that books are always 1000times better than the movie!!

Okay I LOVE Twilight! And I think the movie is going to KICK ASS!!! I’m like soo anticpating the release of the movie. I’ve read the books so I do some clear understanding of the story. But one thing for sure is that this movie does not look cheesy at all!! Overall the movie looks better than any of the Harry Potter movies up to date….and I hope they make the rest of the books into movies also.
P.S. I always thought of someone else playing Bella beside the chick they casted. Not that she’s bad or anything but just never had her in mind. And the guy playing Edward fits the description in the book on some points.

i love the twilight books!!! all of them i even got my mom and dad reading them….a own them all! the movie doesnt and wont ever be close to harry potter. he is lame. the movies are never as good as the books everyone should know that….and this is tottaly a chick book but some guys love it more than i do….i got mad at my dad cuz he skipped the first 50 pages saying they were boring but now he went back to read them…..he loves them!!!!!!!!! you havent read the book then you should the movie might bee cheeeeeeeessyyyyyyyyy but you will get sucked in to the book……everytime i read it i just cant help but wish i was bella….expt. when she is almost dieing.
