We’ve got We had the restricted (aka red band) trailer for the upcoming R-rated comedy Tropic Thunder, but since we don’t have age verification here we were asked to pull the trailer. Be warned that the following trailer is most definitely not suited for all audiences.
We haven’t covered it much here, but for adults who don’t mind crass humor this looks like it could be pretty damned funny. Of course one of the dangers of judging a comedy based on a trailer is that sometimes all the funny bits are there and there isn’t anything new left for the movie itself.

One of the more interesting things about the movie is that Robert Downey Jr (now a “hot property” and bound to add box office to this flick) plays a white guy playing a black guy in the film. There’s been the expected bit of controversy over this, which I think is overblown and pretty dumb.
Anyway, I’d love to hear what you think about this based on the trailer (again, remember this is an R-rated trailer).
So what do you think? Over the top extreme humor or just crass and dumb? I’m hoping it’s the former and not the latter.

That looks frickin awesome..RDJ is stealing the show again!! That guy can do anything he wants to on celluloid and sell it!! I was laughing my ass off!!!!

Coudnt be a better cast, except cruise well nothings perfect.
Yeah, although I think Stiller is a funny guy, I think he hasn’t had a good, really funny movie in a while. I think this one could break his losing streak. Downey Jr. had me rolling on the floor.

Ben Stiller was real funny in, Jack Blacks “Pick of Destiny” couple years back.
I saw the last half hour of the film “Dodgeball” a few days ago (WOW DID IT SUCK)..
Stiller was over the top and it didn’t work….
He just played this angry dork.
Hopefully he relaxes I bit in this film, yeah right.
“Dodgeball” was awesome, 790. How could you not laugh through that whole movie?
This movie has potential, but I BET that the idiot-better known as Jack Black-ruins this film. He IS the most annoying actor in Hollywood right now. He ruined King Kong and he’s going to ruin this movie.

That looks pretty god-damn amazing. Haven’t heard of this movie, so jumping straight into the trailer was cool. Looks good.
It looks funny.No not funny but HILARIOUS.It comes out 2 weeks before my birthday so i know what my birthday preset is going to be besides the Indiana Joneds dvd collection.And personally i thought Ben Stiller was okay in Night At The Musem.
