New Superman Returns Trailer!!

Well I’ll be damned… no sooner do I mention the new Superman Returns trailer in a post than I stumble across it online. :-)

If you ask me the most excellent thing in the trailer is Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor… although towards the end he does tend a little bit to the Gene Hackman/spoofy side.

I’ve probably been overly harsh in my comments concerning Superman Returns, but honestly anything I’ve seen up until now has kind of left me cold. Some of the scenes of Superman at a distance in the trailer look a bit overly CGI-ish to me, but I also think there are things that will work much better on the big screen than they do in a little 640 pixel wide movie trailer. I do like Routh as Clark Kent and I like the little touches in the trailer that wink at the audience with references to the Richard Donner version as well as the comic book.

We’ll just have to wait and see…

    Hmmmm…I’m not liking what I’m seeing. The Lois/Clark dialogue sounds pretty painful and the shenanigans at the Daily Planet seem uninteresting.

    Spacey should be good, but Superman himself seems to have very little presence in this trailer.

    The trailer has done to opposite to me though Vic, I wasnt that very keen on this film now I am SO EXCITED!!!! :D

    I think they’re trying not to show to much of Supes onscreen in the trailer so we’ll be more blown away when we see him in the movie.

    Simone, if you re-read my post you’ll see that I’m actually more optimistic about it now than I was before. :-)

    Oh youre right, I missed that up until now part, I stand corrected.

    Superman will be this year’s Sith box office wise, I am just so sure of it! :wink:
