Just watched 3 trailers at random and unfortunately all the movies star Cage. As another annoying actor who shows up in everything and thus makes me not want to watch would say “No no no no no no no”.

Awful trailer, awful music, awful acting..Perlman is the only reason in this trailer to see this film but I will still pass..buy in the discount bin in a year-and-a-half for five bucks..what is it with the modern rock music in the sci-fi and fantasy trailers? Poor judgement IMO

Without Cage it might have been better. With Cage it looks boring. Sorry, cage can’t act at all. He got lucky with a couple of movies and everything else comes from being a Coppola

ROFL, but probably sooo true! I will see this because of Pearlman, big fan of his here! But ya, so-so trailer, Cage’s spots are a big let down, and overall it just doesn’t seem to jump at ya and pull you in……

This movie however Cage didnt seem to fit for me, if it was someone else i think i would of liked the trailer more. Seems like a cool idea.

If im not mistaken Cage just filed for bankruptcy, so i think hes doing what ever he can at the moment. I do enjoy him in some movies many the ones you listed Ross. His action roles though i dont really like, I am however looking forward to him in Kick Ass.

I totally agree. Cage is a great actor when he takes the right roles, as you mentioned – Matchstick Men, Leaving Las Vegas, Raising Arizona, and also Adaptation, The Weather Man and Lord of War spring to mind. As you say, he just seems to be taking the action roles that don’t really suit him because he gets the big bucks for it.

[...] A new full-length trailer has appeared online for the upcoming Nicolas Cage-starring fantasy adventure-thriller, Season of the Witch. If you only come to Screen Rant for your film news then you might not have discovered of or seen much from this film but there was a abruptly teaser trailer (a sort of Halloween sneak-peek) that surfaced shortly ago and we now have the fresh full-length trailer to be for it. Season of the Witch stars Nicolas Cage as, “a fourteenth century Crusader who returns on his comrade to a homeland blasted by the Black Plague. A badgered church, deeming sorcery the culprit of the beset, commands the two knights to transport an charged witch to a remote abbey, where monastics will perform a ritual in hopes of ending the plague.” The movie is addressed by Dominic Sena, who’s worked with Cage ahead on the redo of Gone In 60 Seconds (which I hold as a guilty pleasure film, I’ve to admit), and is composed by Threshold creator/writer, Bragi F. Schut. As Alex Billington over at First Showing alleges, the movie would look a good deal better if it weren’t for Cage being in “cheesy mode” again and sticking out like a throbbing sore thumb, apart of Cage that’s surfaced far too often in many his recent movies (Ghost Rider, anybody?). All the same, if you look past Cage there are a few genuinely creepy and atmospheric appearing moments to be found. The premise is great and the output design is wicked. Agree the trailer out for yourself, thanks to Trailer Addict (it first appeared internet at Fandango): Alongside Cage, Season of the Witch stars Ron Perlman, Claire Foy, Christopher Lee, Stephen Campbell Moore, Robert Sheehan and Stephen Graham – Perlman and Graham are adequate to get me to watch it (the latter is really arming a great career for himself, and, well, the early is frickin’ Hellboy – ’nuff said). As I said, apart by Cage I really like the look of this one. What do you concoct the trailer for Season of the Witch? Does Cage abide for you or does he suit the role well in your eyes? Movie looks pretty good. But nothing can bring Cage back from the dead. Not even Ghost Rider 2.

the only good role he have had in hes carrier is the weather man that really suited him though he was just good in that role
and hes hair cuts is actually what i like about him because its the only part of hes acting that is good, i mean at least he tries to look different for every role he plays!!

That looks surprisingly fun!

Cage is not over acting in this one luckily. Ron Pearlman is underrated and I’m glad he is getting more work after doing SOA. The music in the trailer did irk me a bit (Manson, right?) but other than that looks like a fun, campy movie…definitely not for everyone but sign me up

This movie just looks *meh*.

Not that bad,but the kinda the typical fare.

Might be a good rental when it’s cold outside though.

I really don’t get Nicolas Cage.While everyone rags on him,he’s actually a good actor when he decides to take good roles.Matchstick Men,Leaving Las Vegas,Raising Arizona were all good roles for him,but he keeps drinking to the “action star” well just a little too much,and he doesn’t seem to fit for most of those roles.

I think it’s time that he started doing more obscure types of movies,but then again,when people are giving you millions of dollars for a couple months worth of work,sometimes you really don’t care what it is.

The supporting cast and the special effects almost excuse Cage for breaking out the ‘Con Air’ wig again.
