I’m not a big fan of remakes. It seems as if Hollywood is running out of Ideas and is constantly either making a 2nd-5th of a movie we never hoped to see again or they’re re-doing classics and spin-offs.

On a Postive note, I am happy to see Robin hood out of tights, looking alittle more mercenary, and not looking like a pretty boy. Best of Luck

Sorry, I disagree about the trailer, and yet I do agree with you, Barbara, about Russell Crowe. ‘Body of Lies’ was a surprise to some because I think we have become conditioned to expect a certain sort of role from Russell and other lead actors. And so he broke the mold again, which is what has made him a most interesting and talented performer, and a deliciously unpredictable character in general. I think RIdley Scott has made the point that he IS taking a different angle here, fleshing Robin out as a character and lending more historical background and grit to the story. So now we will also see Marion as a much stronger and more provocative female persona. Even if that were not so, no one can pull off such a grandly mythical tale like RIdley Scott. Yeah, Errol Flynn was another hell raiser and he did justice to the story so many decades ago. But the movie industry had grown up since then and so have our tastes, I believe. So count on more depth, richness and artistry here. Looking forward.

Russell is a great actor, can play any part, i didn’t like BOL, but it just goes to show you, Russell is not vain and will take on any character. I am looking forward to this movie. i believe that Sir Ridley and Russell will do it justice. this is suppose to be a version of how Robin Hood came to be, starting from his early years as a child. even if you are not a fan of Russell’s like i am, i am sure the movie deserves fairness. as a team Ridley and Russell are great chemistry.

Having seen these stills and the trailer, I must say this painfully dull. I prefered the other idea with Crowe playing Nottingham, at least that would have been something new.

I agree with Vic, the Errol Flyn version is awesome. But I have so much love for Prince Of Thieves, it is so much fun.

He was awesome in Master and Commander and Gladiator, he fits very nicely into period pieces. Im looking forward to him as Robin Hood.

Gotta say that I2 and this the next week sounds like a good couple of weeks. The E Flinn Robin Hood is awsome, best robin hood by far. Rus is a great actor although body of lies was a horrible story and just sucked. I would hate to judge him on just that although his acting was fine not his fault that the story blew. Anyway, I’m excited to see this spin on robin hood and I hope that it’s different somehow. I don’t want to see glad 2.0 and I hope that isn’t what this is. Great director and actor get the benifit of the doubt in my book.

I’m not a big Crowe fan, but I’m a HUGE Blanchett fan! I’ve just recently been blown away by her on stage in DC with Streetcar and to see her go from that to this is astounding. Really, the woman can do anything! She looks so striking on that horse with that long, gorgeous brown hair! My girlfriend hates it when I speak of Cate but I just can’t help myself, she just takes my breath away! Can’t wait for this film!

Robin as the bad guy would be really cool but it looks like Ridley is playing it safe on this one. I have a feeling he might go for the more mature/dark tone considering most of his movies are pretty violent yet so awesome!

I have always heard that Errol Flynn was a bad-@$$ of his day.
