New Poster & Trailer For Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2

Rob Zombie’s upcoming horror remake sequel, Halloween II, has a new poster and trailer. It’s not the first we’ve seen of each for the movie, but none have been particularly awesome so far and these latest two items do nothing to change that impression.

Halloween II is (in case you couldn’t guess) a sequel to Halloween, Zombie’s violent and vicious remake of the classic 1970s John Carpenter slasher flick of the same name. A sequel to Zombie’s remake was pretty inevitable, considering both the way it ended (not to give too much away but it’s open ended) and the fact that it did quite respectably at the box office (making over $110 million if you include DVD sales). The sequel picks up right where the first installment ended, with Michael Myers returning to his home in Haddonfield, Illinois to reek horror-havoc once again.

I can see what they’re going for with the design of the latest Halloween II poster: They’re paying homage to one of Michael’s classic and recognizable ways of attacking and/or killing someone. But I don’t think it works for an official poster -- perhaps it would be more suited as art for the official Halloween II website.

I will admit that the trailer doesn’t look HORRIBLE, just rather… bland. It does nothing to really set it apart from any other horror trailer that we see every other week, and the attempt at subtly weaving in a slightly alternative version of the Halloween theme music doesn’t mask the fact that it just looks like more of the same of what we got with Zombie’s first Halloween film.

It’s no secret around here that I am not a fan of Mr. Zombie’s movies, and that includes his horrible remake of Halloween. I think he uses explicit language and harsh, gory, violence just for the sake of seeming edgy, and as a result any sense of tension or fright is completely lost on me. Needless to say I’m not looking forward to Halloween II, although I fully welcome Zombie to prove me wrong about him.

HALLOWEEN is my all time favorite HORROR movie franchise.(sorry if i spelled that wrong). I have followed it through all original 7 films and also the ROB ZOMBIE remake. All on DVD including 3, even though that had nothing to do with it. I LUV what ZOMBIE has done, added a more DARKER twist along with that GREAT ROB ZOMBIE camera work just like in his other AWSOME MOVIES. VERY excited for II and hope ROB directs filmz for a ong TIME!!

not a big horror buff, but this looks better then all the other horror movies i watched.... somehow, anytime i pick a horror flick.... its terrible. the strangers, the hunting in what-ever-town , and other crap that i will not mention cuz it was so bad.

hmm. actually, i don't think i ever watched a good horror flick :/ unless i count Interview with the vampire a horror flick.

I am a serious fan of all Horror flicks! I have all Halloween, Friday the 13th even the Rob Zombie Haloween! I
will deffintley be going to see H2! I think it is great having all the remakes of older movies. It's a new generation and everybody knows there's violence in this world, It's just a movie and they are made for entertainment! They are fun and all these remakes are the movies people like me grew up watching. My favorites!! If someone can remake an oldie and make it as good, if not better than the original, than more power to em'!! The gore factor of these new movies just makes them more believable or realistic. In the oldies, you know what the killer is doing but on't always see it. In the remakes, well, obviously we all know what is going on!! Technology and the fact that the actors now adays are bigger and will go to great lengths to make every move more realistic and
scarrier just adds to how far a director can go to make his Remake great!! And people like Rob Zombie, Michael Bay & the producers from Texas Chainsaw Massacre(who remade Friday the 13th) are doing a terriffic job!!! I say keep it up!!

Im 26 years old and i have been watching horror films since i could remember. Zombie has his own style in the horror genre. Everyone knows (horror fans) if your watching a horror movie it comes with rules and plots which are cheesy (at times)and me being a horror fan i can accept that. For you people who look to choke out classic remakes because its not as equivalent to the original..thats the purpose of a remake especially if its from two different producers. who wants to watch old 70 movies when you can get the chance for someone to remake one of you favorite movies in the world and keep it on par with the 70's film. (and not just films, games,movies,music and clothing) So i say "rock on Rob Zombie" keep pleasing your fans and move on.

The first remake movie was pretty intense and it actually gave me that edge of my seat feeling that i used to get when i was little watching scary movies. This one looks good too.

He didn't add anything scary in there, it didn't draw me in. I might still rent it though, but probably won't be seeing this in theaters.

I will NOT be seeing this LAME imposter of a Halloween Or any more Halloween as long as Rob Zombie is directing, I will stick to the John Carpenter version Thank you very much.

I think that the Zombie remake of Halloween is great! He sticks to the general storyline but puts a modern day twist and gore factor on it! I don't think it would be a horror movie if Michael Myers asked politely if he could kill someone everytime he wanted to!! Or just stabbed someone once and caled it a day!!! And as far as his other movies, great also!!
