I personally know Jeremy Ambler…I met him on the set of HBO;s John Adams…I’m proud of this film…i have several actors i know personally…and i very very recently talked to jeremy and he attended the premiere in toronto, and i was told the movie was very dramatic and one of the saddest films he has ever seen…not ot mention he is in the trailer as well…I think this will reach oscar nomination…at least golden globes

These are not the “cannibals” — These people are the cannibal victims from the cellar, where they are kept pending consumption. Sadly, the cannibals are probably in better shape.

Vic the story is unremittingly bleak. The ending is too but includes a glimmer of hope.

Yes your right Vic, that’s going to be its ironic fate…

Will it drive people away??? The book works because you use your imagination, and its all you and your imagination…
When you see the images in (movie form), it might be considered a bad horror movie, or such a downer that most only see it once,,, (as with the saw films)

Basically,,,
The book is a fasinating, well written trip though hell… Its dire bleakness is a real page turner…

Let’s pray it never get this bad…

This looks like one of those movies that you need a strong stomach to sit through. Not specifically due to gore but due to how bleak it seems it will be.

Never read the book but I get the feeling it doesn’t have a happy ending.
