I think that the Twilight movie was pretty good, and yes I know that it wasn’t following the book but I am sure that having the movie come out on November is not that big of a deal. MANY people like Twilight and they are eagered for the second movie. If its about the money than they have a good chance about making millions off these movies but what if its the other way around? not everything is about money….
Anyone can surprise you. Give them a break and stop posting your dumb comments about money!!!!!!

I am not sure of Summit’s financial status, but I can’t believe they wouldn’t want to do Stephanie Meyer’s book’s complete justice. And if she is involved at all in production I’m sure they will be wonderful, no matter how fast they hit the screen…which is not fast enough for me! I am a huge fan and probably old enough to be most of you all’s grandmother. My only hope now is that they make Breaking Dawn, staring Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, as well as the rest of the present cast. They are all fabulous actors! I’ve read all 4 books, 3 times each and what they did with Twilight on screen, was great!!

At first I was so mad at Summit for giving New Moon only year. That is no time at all, fans would have been more than willing to wait.
But it makes sense, when you think about it. All Twilight Saga release dates are NOT GETTING IN THE WAY OF HARRY POTTER. Harry Potter movies come out summer 2009, fall 2010, then summer 2011. so of course it would make sense for Twilight to avoid Harry Potter with fall 2009 and summer 2010!
Not that I approve of the short time space, but at least it makes more sense now.

I can understand with not wanting the actors to age too much but besides that i dont see the point of rushing the films out. I didnt find a lot of things wrong with the first movie and im not a die hard fan of Twilight. Sure it had a few issues but nobody is perfect and films cant be perfect either. Im going to give Summit the benefit of the doubt for now, cant make a descision on whether the film will be good or not till we actually see it.

My daughter & I both liked the first movie even if it wasn’t right with the book. But “2″ movies out so close together…you have no time to breathe. It you need some time between books/movies to really let it “sink in”. At least that is my belief.

I personally think … and I myself am a Twihard. That the longer the wait the bigger the fandom.. and since Summit is kinda greedy over Twilight they should wait so more people will be eager for BOTH movies and new fans will be bitten :K

This doesn’t make any sense to me at all and as far as I can recall I have never seen a studio react this way. Is Summit too young to handle a franchise of this size? Or are there bigger financial problems with Summit and they need the revenue from the movies? I know Summit has made a lot off of Twilight but their other films mostly under perform. There has to be a logical explanation about why they are pushing these out and the only thing that makes sense to me is that this is about money. Maybe they don’t see themselves surviving in this economy long term. We’ve seen a lot of independent studios close the last few years. I think it was back December when there were rumours about WB being interested in Summit and if that was true than Summit must be having problems if they’re getting offers. I just wanted to present another side of this because I don’t buy the other excuses that are floating around.

hmmm im not sure either way on this but i think they could pull it off in 7 months. plus you have to think about the actors ageing so its best to get them done as soon as possible.
cant wait for new moon! i know some people are slating the movie book adaption but the thing is what film is directly to the book?

My wife loves the book series but thought the first movie looked like a lame 70’s film, special effects speaking. Of course I’m probably to blame since I make her watch all the special effects movies. I’ve got her spoiled.

i’m a huge twilight fan…and the reason for the success is the story from the books being in motion pictures…the speed of production will alter the film like with twilight there are things in the movie that never happened in the book for example when bella came to the house rosalie and emit werent even home and alice didnt come from a window…but it was still cool to see them on the big screen if they are going to change things the better make sure they arent noticeable…stick to the book its not that hard just take the important parst and the cool little ones and add dialogue

It wasn’t meant to be a shot at anyone but in my experience with Twilight fans all of them would see it regardless im sure there are a select few that arent completely blinded by the Twilight title and want to see a truley good movie but i havent met any of those people yet what i have met are people that said the movie sucked but saw it repeatedly just because of the name

Wow, thanks for that-insulting, degrading, and stereotyping me (as a Twilight fan) all in one paragraph!

I’m sure that there are a lot of people so dedicated to the series that they will see it regardless. But that doesn’t mean the majority of them wouldn’t rather them take a little extra time to do a good job. I would be just as excited about it if they waited another six months as I would for it to come out on the slated date.
