How To Train Your Dragon

I haven’t read the book that this movie is based on, but from its latest trailer, Dreamworks’ How To Train Your Dragon looks like it could be an entertaining family film that’s appropriate for all ages. Some early reports have compared the film to Kung Fu Panda, another Dreamworks animated film that I thought was pretty enjoyable.

Check below for a story synopsis of How To Train Your Dragon, as well as a new clip from the film courtesy of ComingSoon.

The son of a Viking chief must capture a dragon in order to mark his passage into manhood and prove his worthiness to the tribe in directors Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois’ adaptation of Cressida Cowell’s popular children’s book. Gerard Butler, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse provide voices.

The Runaways

Now that you’ve gotten the family-friendly stuff out of the way, it’s time to move on to our last item of the day: a whopping seven movie clips from the Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning film The Runaways. For those not in the know, The Runaways tells the story of how Joan Jett (Stewart) and Cherie Curie (Fanning) formed the seminal all-girl rock band, named, duh, The Runaways, and how the pair dealt with their sudden rise to the top of the music world.

The Runaways isn’t the first time that Fanning and Stewart have teamed up on film (that dubious honor goes to Twilight), but it definitely is the first time we’ve seen either actress take on such a sexually-charged role. To be perfectly honest, I was a little weirded out when I saw Fanning strutting around in lingerie in the trailer. I mean, the girl is only 16 years old, am I right? Anyway, before I go off on a tangent, here are the clips, plus a featurette of the film (thanks to Collider). Note that there is a pre-roll ad in front of the featurette.

So, what do you think? Are you impressed by the new images of The Losers? Do the clips of How To Train Your Dragon or The Runaways make you want to see either film? Let us know in the comments.
