Heck, even that lousy powered exoskeleton between the pilot episode and the one in the series were different.. ditto the supporting cast and other aspects (like that flying car and all). I hope Knight Rider 2008 doesn't pick up some further suckage along the way. I agree that the movie left a lot of room for improvement, and I'm glad they're going to move forward from it, and the idea that what we saw in the movie may, in a manner of speaking, not be what we saw in the movie is a nice way to handle things. However, the writing team seems like a mixed batch. Writers from 2 shows I enjoyed, and 2 I've never had any interest in at all, and 1 I absolutely detest, and have since before it premiered. This news has me almost as worried as I was about the new Star Trek movie when I first heard about the writers for that. They're going to have their work cut out for them getting fans of the original on board. I'm one of the apparently few fans who like the previous attempts to revive the Knight Rider, and, after this news, I'm already worried that this could be a mistake. I don’t know.
