It seems there was confusion yesterday that no doubt caused a spike in ratings for ABC’s Lost.
Marvel.com put out a story stating that a brand new Iron Man trailer would premiere during last night’s episode. SuperHeroHype picked it up (they’ve since removed the post), and then scads of other websites picked it up an posted it as well. Considering that the source was Marvel itself, that’s understandable.
However the whole thing turned out to be off by one week.

Over at the popular Iron Man forum Advanced Iron, people were pretty annoyed since I guess a lot of them don’t like Lost and don’t normally watch the show. 
Now, Marvel has reposted the announcement with the correct date of the premiere: February 28th.
So if you’re already a fan of Lost, no biggie, but if you’re not, you’re going to have to sit through another episode.
So… new Iron Man trailer during ABC’s Lost on February 28th.
The Iron Man movie will be released on May 2nd.

Hopefully we’ll see some of Iron Man fighting Iron Monger this time. I’ll bet that looks sweet!
SHH! even commented/opined, which they never do, about how surprised they are that so many people DON’T watch Lost. I don’t.

If the announcement doesn’t specify, you people might keep in mind that Lost is on from 7-9 Central time. First, the previous week’s episode with commentary-captions, then a new episode.
I watch the enhanced version since it includes clues and backstory. BTW, anyone who wants transcriptions of SOME of last night’s captions and my own comments-write me at “bounding squirrel at yahoo dot net.”
Think I’ll just wait and catch it online…
Maybe my dork factor isn’t high enough, but why in the world would someone watch a show they don’t like or go see a movie they don’t care for just for a 60 second movie trailer that an hour later they can see online?? I’ve never cared for LOST, so I will just wait for Vic to post it here!

It’s as simple as pie for me to record a program and scan for an ad. I’ll have to purposefully scan and not skip past the ads next week.
What a trial balloon…(marketing lingo) for the Dangeling Carrot factor or the Field of Dreams senario.
Sucks that lost got a undeserved spike in ratings.

Skunkey, I see from your time stamp that you were typing your message while the ad played.
You watched the REPEAT episode (7-8 pm Central). If you would have watched for about 7 more minutes, you would have seen the 90-second Iron Man ad.
You whiners and haters didn’t have to “trudge” through the whole show to see it on TV. Have fun watching Stark get his armor on with your microscreens. Harumph.
I was surprised to see the Iron Man trailer pop up during the very first commercial break.
