Above is a new photo from the upcoming Iron Man movie showing Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark testing one of the gauntlets (gloves, for the uninitiated) of the Iron Man armor. That image is just full of fanboy-geek goodness as far as I’m concerned.

Cool. I’ll see anything with RD jr. Seeing him in a fantastical super-heor flick may just get me back into the comic book genre of film…. maybe.

Man, I’m gonna be bummed out if this film sucks… I really don’t think my heart could take another ‘X3′.
I only started following Iron Man a couple of years back (the ‘Extremis’ arc) but, since then, this has become my number one film to look forward to.
I frequently stare lovingly at my Comiquette statue and get a little geek-gasm.

Kane, do you have one of the Sideshow Collectible Iron Man comiquettes? I have one as well and the thing is freaking AMAZING.
I’m an Iron Man fan going back to the 80’s and so far this thing seems to be hitting on all cylinders. I really hope I get a chance to talk to Favreau and company at the upcoming Comic-Con!
