There’s a licensing show going on in New York City right now and upcoming movies are well represented there. There are items related to Iron Man, Transformers, The Incredible Hulk, The Dark Knight and more. Someone snapped a pic of a huge promotional banner for the Iron Man movie – if you click on the small image you can see a much larger view. It’s different from any other images we’ve seen and it’s got Shellhead in a cool pose.

On the other hand, if you’re not a fan of the new Batman costume/body armor based on the recently released image, I think you’re really going to hate this toy-version, but more detailed look at what the new Batsuit will look like. You can click on this thumbnail for a much larger and straight-on look at the new Batsuit from The Dark Knight.
Of course a photo of a toy version of the suit, photographed in stark lighting won’t look nearly the same as the same suit worn by an actor, in motion and with great lighting… but in this pic the suit looks pretty darned funky to me. Much odder than in the previously released image. On the bright side, in this image there is a lot of classic grey showing which at least in that regard is much closer to the traditional costume than any movie has come.
I just don’t really like the “zebra” look in this pic though…
What do you think?

Like I mentioned before,I hate this batsuit. Michael Keatons looked the most flexible on screen though. I do like that they’re trying to incporate the grey into it though….
The release image doesn’t look this “zebra”-ish. The toy manufactures are going to make the design a contrast so it stands out more.
I like the suit on the release image. I don’t like the toy.
Nice IM promo, the pose is iconic. The Dark Knight toy is not doing the movie costume any justice.
If they get rid of all that crap on his legs, give him some real Batman gloves, get rid of that black chest plate, give him his classic bat-letard,and give him a descent bat-symbol this costume would look pretty good. I don’t see why they just don’t make the shirt and pants armor gray (grey is it?)….
Has anyone thaught that the bat costume in grey and black wouldn’t camouflage Batman well in darkness. He would be easily noticeable. Besides what bad guy
would have the guts to shoot Batman when he is dressed like a gladiator? They would totally wet their pants. And the bat symbol in the yellow eclipse would also be more visible in the darkness.
Bat’s go to jump out of nowhere if the criminals are going to take the full effect of his costume.
