[Update: We’ve added three new Iron Man 2 images!]

The one film that just about everyone is waiting for this year, the one that tops the most anticipated list of most comic book fans worldwide, is Iron Man 2. Ever since last year at Comic Con, where director Jon Favreau gave several thousand people the chance to watch 5 minutes of footage from the film, fans have been “geeked” up to see Tony Stark take to the sky again with his friend War Machine by his side.

Teasers, trailers, photos, behind-the-scenes clips, and some posters (which were lackluster) have all been over the past few months to whet the appetite of fans everywhere. Just recently, Marvel revealed the newly revamped Iron Man 2 official website complete with wallpapers, video clips, stills and buddy icons (which I thought went out with AOL Instant Messenger).

One new thing they added, which is my favorite, is the ability to listen to extended sections from each of the 14 tracks of John Debney’s original score. As I perused the site, I found myself enjoying the music and it made for a quite enjoyable experience. I could almost see Iron Man flying, hand and feet repulsors lighting up the dark night sky as he zooms around the city. I will be adding this soundtrack to my collection.

We’ve grabbed some new screen grabs for those of you that want to see them here. Click each pic below to see a larger image:

Does anybody else completely envy Ryan Reynolds for being married to Scarlett Johansson?

If you aren’t familiar with the story behind Iron Man 2 here it is:

With the world now aware of his dual life as the armored superhero Iron Man, billionaire inventor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) faces pressure from the government, the press, and the public to share his technology with the military. Unwilling to let go of his invention, Stark, along with Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and James “Rhodey” Rhodes (Don Cheadle) at his side, must forge new alliances — and confront powerful enemies.

Iron Man 2 stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Mickey Rourke, Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Sam Rockwell, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jon Favreau, Paul Bettany (voice) and Oliva Munn.
