If the first trailer got fans hot and bothered, the new Iron Man 2 trailer put fans of the first film in nirvana. Some folks online say they’ve deduced the entire plot of the film based on the two trailers, and I suppose in a general sense you can discern how the story will go from them. However I believe that director Jon Favreau will no doubt have some surprises in store for us when May 7 rolls around.

In any case, I thought it would be fun to try to combine the two Iron Man trailers into one, extended uber-trailer.

Now please keep in mind I’m not video editing wizard – as a matter of fact this extended Iron Man 2 trailer is my first attempt ever at doing anything like this… but I did it for you folks, so be gentle. icon smile New Iron Man 2 Extended Trailer

So without further delay, here it is for you – all 3 minutes and 45 seconds worth of Iron Man goodness:

Iron Man 2 opens on May 7, 2010.

  1. Wow! Very nice job.

  2. A new level of Geekdom ! I’m sweating inside ! Glad they’re working the character and story. At least from the trailer…Could it outshine the first?! Bring it on!

  3. Whoa! Can't wait to see this one! It looks as good as the first one. I hope it is!

  4. *Warning* *This might be a spoiler, but I'm just speculating* *Warning*

Anyone notice Justin Hammer (as the MC) at the Stark Expo? If we're talking chronology, Iron Man flying into the Stark Expo, to a wall of Hammer's Iron Armors means Stark is working with Hammer…right? (Probably the gov't enforcing Stark to work with a financier.)

Then there's images of Whiplash building his Whiplash suit with the Stark Expo on TV, confirming Hammer isn't working with Whiplash… yet. Hammer and Whiplash have they're little meeting later on, teaming up and Whiplash is seen tinkering with Hammer's Iron Army.

So I wonder, have we really seen anything about Act III?

Then there's Iron Man's new suit, noted by the V-shaped arc reactor. Where does THAT come into play? From Act III? Big finale fight with Hammer's Army? But then, where's Whiplash?

I'm done speculating, let's bring on May 7th.

  12. After watching the previews, this movie is going to rock. Iron Man was probably one of my favorite adaptations from comic to film, with Wolverine second. YA!

  13. Wouldn´t it be funny if the were both nominated?
