The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Terry Gilliam’s latest fantasy outing which sees the late Heath Ledger in his last ever role, is looking better and better every day. We’ve already posted some gorgeous images from the movie, as well as a minute-long clip featuring Ledger. The early reviews for Doctor Parnassus suggest, for the most part, that it’s something to look forward to.

To fuel the list of reasons to be excited about Gilliam’s new movie, we have a couple of new clips for you. Neither of them feature Ledger (I’m guessing they don’t want to release too much of him in the movie), but they’re worth checking out nonetheless. Check out Ben Wishaw, Verne Troyer, Lily Cole and Christopher Plummer in action (oops… did that sound right?):

I can’t praise how this movie looks enough. Gilliam, as I have said before, is one of my absolute favorite filmmakers, and I will literally see anything he makes. So maybe that’s blinding me to any flaws that others might see.

So far everything looks great about this movie – I can’t wait.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is presumed to be released sometime this year, but no official release date has been set as of yet.

  1. Absolutely beautiful! I have actually read a couple of negative reviews of this film, but whatever. It’s Gilliam. I’m there PLUS the Blu-Ray.

  2. The first clip was pretty much a waste of time, and the second one didn’t really move me either.

Either way,it is Gilliam and I’ll see it knowing that it can’t be judged from either of those clips.

  3. interesting

  4. Was that Christopher Plummer in the second clip? Wow, he could play Gandalf these days!
