I loved Hellboy and am looking forward to the new movie for one reason: Ron Pearlman as Hellboy is one of the Best cast actors for a comic book translation EVER! Also I like the way that Guillermo mixes cgi with real costumes and props

Hey Vic, I have to chime in!

This looks AWESOME!!! I’m insanely excited for this! As insanely excited as I am for Dark Knight and Iron Man, Hellboy is my favorite comic book character ever and this has just topped my list. Guillermo has done it – he’s pulled off something that looks just incredible AND could be better than the first movie! So frickin’ awesome…!

Thought the first one started great- then went down hill fast.

The trailer was good.

I loved the first movie it was fun and epic, and these one seems to be more epic then the first one.
But I am a little bit woried for the new changes they have done like Liz’s and Abe’s uniform.
Plus who the hell is the new guy, and the gyant blue gorilla looked like MOLOCH from MORTAL COBAT.
And they over did it a bit with the Prince’s fighting style.
Olso was HB holding a baby when he was fighting the gyant octopus monster, did he just save the baby or is it an important part to the story.

Hey Alex, nice to see you drop by. Yeah, this does indeed look pretty stinkin’ cool. I’m going to rent the first one to watch it again.

Looks good I hope its hardcore. The last one seemed hampered by the rating. I think it was PG-13, it sure seemed like it was.
Also the sidekick on the first one seemed way out of place. I havnt seen that actor since ether. Pearlman kicks asss as this character so I hope its good!

Lykaon says:

I think the first Hellboy was extremely underrated. It didn’t have the flash of some of its superhero counterparts, but it had a lot more heart and a quirky sensibility.

I’m excited to see the sequel, though with all sequels I’m a little wary. It’s so hard not to screw it all up.

I’m glad to see that they got the cast back, though. There’s not enough Selma Blair in the world these days.

Liz says:

I had the same basic reaction to Hellboy that you did, Vic. Though I really enjoyed it, I could never quite justify spending ten bucks on the DVD. I’m not terribly excited for the sequel, although I’m sure it will be good – if I’ve got some extra money and I’m bored, I might see it in theatres, but otherwise I’m waiting for the DVD release. I think my general distaste for Selma Blair has something to do with it.

Adrian says:

Looks great! Been checking on the progress of this film from time to time and it looks like this film be two and a half times better then the first. If Toro does HB2 as a R or hard PG13 rating, then the film will be at it’s best! 2008 will be great!

Adrian says:

Know Hulk and Indy needs to show their hands(trailers)at the poker table of 2008.

nikki says:

Stargate: Atlantis called. They want their Wraith back. :P

Seriously though, I loved the first film and this looks like it’s going to be just as much fun as the first. I have to agree with the casting of Pearlman, he was made for this part. Much like Christopher Reeve was for Superman and Harrison Ford for Indiana Jones. This movie just adds to the list of movies that are in the “MUST SEE” category!!

alfred says:

I hope this movie is better than the first one, if it’s not i will write back and say how bad the movie is and how i expected it to be, plus am just a fan name Alfred Mj who wants to be an actor in the future, thank you and i can’t wait to see this movie.

hellboy rocks! Several years back i made my own hellboy halloween costume, stone hand, big gun and all. This year i plan to redo it, but with the gun from this film. Iron man, hulk watch out! Here comes hellboy!
