I’m not defending anyone, I am using common sense. Retailers don’t take back opened games and give refunds for them. If you didn’t know that, well, you know that now in case you were thinking about trying that, lol.

Actually, what he did helped the “system” more… They earned a hefty profit from selling it to him for the “new” price of what, $60-$70 now for console games? (RIP OFF!)

Then he sells it back for probably $15, then they resell it at “used” price of $45 probably. So the first time they probably made a profit of like $50 at least, then the second time they profit $30. Fenix is the one that lost $45 at least for a game he didn’t even get to keep.

I’m against what he did too, but only because I think it’s a rip off for him. I’d rather just keep the game since I know I’m not going to get squat for it if I sold it back to gamestop or whatever…

I doubt he actually “Returned” it like he said, they won’t take an opened game, he probably traded it in or sold it to them as used, so I’m sure he lost money on the deal…

My post has nothing to do with your opinion of the game. It doesn’t matter if you are a hardcore Halo fan or not. It’s the fact that you bought the game and took it back after beating it a week later. Do you drink a gallon of milk and then take it back saying you didn’t like how it tasted? I didn’t like the game very much either but I didn’t return it a week later. I sold it on ebay. Some people just like to take advantage of the system.

Me being in college is not an “excuse” bud I thought I would just give you a little perspective on myself as to why I’m not rolling in cash… my mistake. And did you not read my earlier post that illustrates the fact that I am a hardcore halo fan. Obviously I’m going to get the game no matter what the response from fans. Oh and I’m so sorry for voicing my opinion but I just was a little disappointed by the game since I love the halo universe so much. Do you work for bungie? is that why you question my motifs?

you’re in college? that’s a lame excuse for buying a game and then taking it back when you’re done with it. if you need to save money because you’re in college how about you not buy the game at all tough guy.

Hey buddy im no hardcore GOW fan but your talking about the bumpmapping in that game? Who notices that kinda stuff? Unless your a designer than I don’t think most people are gonna pick out the detail of some helicopter not looking real enough. I mean honestly GOW 1 and 2 are some of the best looking games period. I know its running on a highly modified unreal 3 engine but if you play it on a 1080p hdmi tv than its pretty breathtaking. I know there are games that look better like Crysis maybe but only a few I can count on my fingers. I’m just curious what titles you think the bump mapping is exceptional in…

Anyways, about the trailers.. both are awesome. thats so nutty that neil b directed those halo shorts because I watched those about 2 years ago when they were on xbox live and I was thinking how phat it would be if they could make that into a feature length film. I guess he did but it wasn’t halo… Anyways I love the gritty feel and shaky camera of the footage, I hope they go in this direction with the movie if they choose to make it. However I do love masterchief and would of course like to see him featured in the movie as well.
