Two weeks ago, Screen Rant posted some new pics for the upcoming Gerard Butler-starrer, Gamer, and today we’ve got some more! They come from Steve at Collider who received some brand new images for the sci-fi action movie and we have a few of them here for you to see.

The recent sets of images released for the film have been emphasizing plenty of color in the visuals which, up until recently, we’d not seen much of for the flick which seemingly had the same dull and dark aesthetic of Death Race prior to that.

Good, I was getting bored of that.

[Update: A cool new TV spot for Gamer was just released online – here it is:]

I hope this movie has good action and a lot of it – That’s the only selling point for me. Some of the visuals from the International Gamer trailer are neat but I’m more impressed by the latest videos for Matthew Santoro’s Offline movie which has some similar special effects.

Joining Gerard Butler in the roster of playable characters are recognizable actors Zoe Bell, Amber Valletta (Transporter 2), Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Alison Lohman (Drag Me to Hell), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes), John Leguizamo, Logan Lerman (3:10 to Yuma), Keith David and Terry Crews.

This movie will be brought to us by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the pairing who brought to us Crank: High Voltage. That may hint at what we can expect from the action and pace of this film :)

Is this a movie you’ll be checking out? Will Kable earn his freedom?

Gamer becomes playable on September 4, 2009.
