Even though I've lived in Florida for the past decade, I was born and raised in Eastern Iowa so as I was drifting off to sleep, Bruce's voice caused a little confusion. I woke up in time to catch what he was talking about – zombies naturally – and had to get up and on the computer to figure out what the hell I had just seen. Whether the movie sucks or not – I'm going to see it just for this little connection

Looks interesting. What caught me by surprise is the latest tralier I saw today. I live outside of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The trailer that played today showed a clip of a news anchor talking about the Midwest under gov't control. What was unique is that they actually had our local news anchorman, Bruce Aune, from our ABC station, KCRG in the movie trailer. Anyone else outside of Iowa of course won't realize this, but when the trailer starts and you see the local newsman talking, I was wondering WTF until I realized it was another trailer. Interesting that they went the extra mile having this in the film. Normally you see everything thrown together which takes away the sense of being “real”. Ogden Marsh, Iowa is fiction, but the real towns they filmed in Iowa… Lenox and Winterset are real. Hope it is a better film than what I have seen before in this category of “end of world” films!

Fantastic… I love a good zombie flick and hopefully this looks promising from the trailer…

i enjoyed this one alot more that the Smallville opening and (stated in the article) misuse of a good song.
is it sad that the last few seconds of this trailer made my gasp for my man-hood. Lol

i too hope that Timothy OlyphanTASTIC can make this film work.

I get “Trailer no longer available”.

Yet still movies like this are popular. It will depend on what the actors/directors etc can bring to it.

The more “believable” they make it, the better it is, which then, makes it scarier.

never seen the original, this looks moderately interesting, nut it is another remake and therefore I shall not be seeing it, as paying money for seeing a remake only fuels Hollywoods devotion to keep remaking movies.

I have a friend who is a talking extra in this movie. They filmed in Iowa (where I am) but she never described it as this type of movie. She just said zombie.

I like the original and the way she talked about the remake made me think that it was strictly zombies. This trailer makes it seem more scary than just zombies.

It looks good. I’m kind of excited to see it now.

Ogb, have you seen the HBO series Deadwood? Olyphant’s great in that show.

What I found sucks about the first trailer (haven’t seen this one yet, I’m on a BB) is that it practically gives away the ending,,,

I mean you can pretty much tell what happens at the end,,,

Definitely looks ABOVE average. I’m a horror fan and need some good horror films!

Plus, it’s about time Olyphant gets better roles. He has great screen presence and can carry a movie like this as the protagonist no problem.

I haven’t seen the original version, but the trailer for this one looks decent enough.Better than last house on the left.
