this is it header New Clip From Michael Jacksons This Is It

A few days ago, Sony released a performance clip from the upcoming concert film, Michael Jackson’s This Is It. The clip shows an extremely thin Michael Jackson working with the director Kenny Ortega on choreography for the song “Human Nature.”

I find this clip really interesting clip because while Jackson’s dance moves do seem a bit odd in places (See 0:10), he’s singing live and sounding great. I’ve really been debating whether or not to go see this film in the theater or wait for it on DVD. After watching this clip, it has piqued my interest (and I’m sure a lot of other people’s) and might be worth the price of admission.

Check out the clip from This Is It below:

Admit it. You’re humming the song. I’m still humming the song and it’s been over 30min.

This Is It documents April – June in Jackson’s life while working on his then up and coming European tour.

Tickets go on sale September 27, 2009 with the film being released in theaters October 28, 2009.

  1. i just wish people were this nice to him when he needed it and not when he dies so typical of the human race to turn on people when its popular and not make there own choices on the matter. umlike the rest of the monkeys out there I allways new he was inncoent and I truly appreciated him while he was alive just wish everyone else did. hint hint obama right now everyone loved him like 6 months ago now its cool to not like him, shut up america and let the man do his job. especialy u glenn beck who is slowing down evolution.

  2. I agree with what kantsandya has to say but one thing is for sure that his music will stay on forever and he will be still legend and king of pop .Be rest in peace M.J you truly inspired a lot of people with your music.

  3. Its cool not to like obama?

MJ has only himself to blame, he could have walked away from the people that were controlling him behind the scenes and manipulating him but he didn’t.

    Same with obama.

  4. Well, I don’t see any odd moves in that clip. Michael always let the music move him so what he does an arm move? Really who are any of us to critique him? To the author of this article; can you dance at all like Mike? NO… so shut up…

  5. The arm movements are just to mark his choreography without doing the full move. Michael is mostly focused on coordinating his vocals with the music and hitting forceful poses for full impact. He rehearsed in phases that’s why it looks a bit odd. Imagine how good he would have been with an eager crowd responding to him. I also think that he would have gained weight after opening night. He was stressed out, but I think in a good way, like when your nominated for an award or preparing for a competition.

  6. As an editor of this site, I say that personally, what this footage does for me is make me wish that I could bear witness to just ONE MORE goosebump-inducing MJ performance moment that I know I will never get again.

    It makes me nostalgic.

The time for guilt, anger, righteous retribution and all that STUFF is over. The man (whoever he was deep inside and at the end of the day) is gone forever. Judgments (good or bad) can’t touch him now.

  7. well said JOE!!! u are right hopelfully this will teach us a lesson as a species not to jump on the hate bandwagon until we as a person take all the accusations in to acount. I mean yes he was strange and odd to us, but who’sto say we wernt strange and odd to him. I quote MIB for the first time hitory for sure “A person is smart, people are dumb, scared and ignorant”

  8. I’m tired of “Jacksploatation”, make them stop already

  9. @kanstandya – what the heck does a political reference and glen beck have to do with a 45 second clip of MJ doing a dry rehearsal run and Kenny Ortega looking like a dork bobbing his head. Stay on topic geesh!

    @790 – I guess but it’s news to me :)

@TrishVelez – Seriously? The author made a very nice article mentioning none of MJ’s faults and in fact praiseing him for his musical attributes and you tell him to shut up because of a 4 word reference to MJ’s horrendous arm flinging motino during a song rehearsal? Come off it woman.

@Kofi – I agree, Every time I hear the song “Bad” or “Beat It” I can’t but think of the videos (and the Weird Al songs to go with them )

    @Vic – arghhh!!! I’m done :)

  10. lol yea kinda went on rant spree there “PAUL YOUNG” il try to stay on topic for now on.

  11. I’m sold. I don’t think it’s worth the full price of admission, but will catch it at the discount theaters… if it ever goes there. If not, DVD watch for sure. I just wish it wasn’t only a two week release. There are so many MJ fans out there. Why not let EVERONE get a chance to see his last hurrah?

Does anyone know the length of this movie? I have a feeling it might be really short.

  12. I’m sure this will be on Dvd very soon if you miss it in theatres.

(This Is It!) yeah right,,,? how long before we see Dvd and Bluray versions of,,, “This Is It, The Directors Cut, This Is It, The Final Cut Special Edition, The Fry’s Moonwalk Cut, The Lost Footage from, “This Is Finally It” the Wonderland Cut… Blah blah blah,,,

    This won’t be It,,,

  13. he sounds really good!

  14. He must have been higher than a kite here, with the arm movements that we have never seen before. I know he’s partially to blame, but someone broke some laws and should be in jail by now. RIP MJ

  15. this is it!! the final curtain…as what he have said

  16. “Jackson’s dance moves do seem a bit odd in places (See 0:10)”

Dude, that’s him telling the band to start playing. It’s not a dance move. Geez.

  17. It makes me sick to my stomach to know that this child molester/drug addict/pedophile/pervert is getting his own film.

  18. To Gigan300, Michael was not a child molester, drug addict pedophile or a pervert. He was a beautiful man with a beautiful heart and a beautiful soul.He may have made some mistake (one of them with Conrad murray who gave him all those powerful drugs.).But as Jesus said(yes I am going to quote the Bible here)He who is without sin cast the first stone. No one did,did they ?So do not judge Michael at all.
    To Shasha,He was not high.
To 790,Michael was under contract ,he could not just walk away he would have had more legal problems with AEG and Sony.As for the doc(lol) he will be jailed sooner or later.

  19. No, he didn’t cast any stone….he just had sex with little boys, thats all.

  20. P Diddy: “He showed that you can actually see the beat. He made the music come to life. He made me believe in magic.”

Here I’ve tried to collect all notable tributes and quotes on Michael Jackson from peers:
