Hey, at least this show is better than the last few Highlander films. I mean talk about fudging up continutity. And I used to be a massive Highlander film. And the last one, Highlander: The Source, was a waste of film. Talk about awful.

I meant to say fan, not film in:

“And I used to be a massive Highlander film.”

we have seen it all before. Amsterdam is Angel and the Moonlight detective…. only he’s imortal but not vampire so the - oh I have done terrible things and can never make up for them and deserve to be human angle is gone, this is a dude that saved someone and got imortal so he gets to walk about for some houndred years before he falls in love and turns human again- why would I want to watch that - its boaring…

Yeah, sounds like Highlander. Also sounds a bit like Forever Knight. I actually quite like Forever Knight. Like Highlander too. I don;t think that this thing is really adding anything fresh to the idea though.

I’d probably only watch it if I got tired of watching the paint drying and couldn’t find any belly button fluff to amuse myself with.

Yea I liked Forever Knight because of Nigel Bennett. He was the best part of that show!

You know what would have been more interesting? A human who becomes immortal, and wishes to continue being immortal.

I’m tired of this cliche, really.

You wanna hear something funny?

“Moonlight” is a hit and it involves a vampire detective!

Now here’s a Highlander retread…and even though Sarah Connor will return, having the timeslot occupied with this ho-hum. But y’know televison. Everything gets recycled every few years…

Well, almost everything. I’m still waiting for my Max headroom revival.

That’s what I’m missing. Max Headroom on dvd!!!

Let’s get rolling on that huh guys!!

Ashar: Agreed.

790: LOL, but don’t do it! (Drive off the road thing.) Test it - go sprain your ankle and see if it heals faster than normal sprains on normal people.

EdFishy: Hey! How dare you starting thinking in original thoughts when it comes to TV!!!

Darren Seeley: I agree with you - Moonlight is good, and getting better.

To add to my cliche angst: Even his dog’s name is a number, to reflect how many dogs he’s had.. I don’t know what the number is, I couldn’t hear it over the banging sound my head was making as it hit the table over and over… in fact missed the rest of the episode from the combination of head banging, and somehow hitting the rewind button during the replay! (Yes, this implies I STARTED to watch the 2nd episode.. I like to give anything a second chance.. but alas..)

We at Screen Rant are here to dive into the realms of media no one dare go.. to boldly go where.. oh nevermind.

I have never heard such sour grapes about a show. Personally, I like immortals from Highlander to Mick ST John(Moonlight for all you non fans) and everything in between. You just all want to be one,an immortal, and haven’t figured out how to get there. Just shut up, find something else to bash, and don’t rain on my parade. I like this show.

LOL - Sorry Andy, but did you watch NA?

It just seemed too obvious in doling out all the details of his life rather than let us derive them from watching the show over a period of time.

How many times can a show hint at someone being immortal in under 2 episodes? That’s all.

Did I mention he was immortal?

Ah come on Andy there’s nothing like collectivly bashing a below average tv show that will be cancelled within days.

Would be cool if I had Immortality and a spaceship (with warp-drive).

I think I’m the only person here who actually likes the show. Albeit, not the greatest show, but it;s still good.

An Update: New Amsterdam IS NOT IMMORTAL.

It’s been reported on TV Guide that New Amsterdam is being canceled. .. I’m so sad.
