I enjoyed the first Teen Wolf and do think this could make a decent enough series. But done by MTV? I’d have to pass.

It’s not necessarily even that the concept is so off that it couldn’t be done (but shouldn’t it be done by a channel that doesn’t call itself MTV?).

But why link it directly to the mediocre to downright awful films back in the 80′s? Call it something else. Distinguish it more from that storyline, not associate itself directly.

I expect very little from this project. If anyone should do it, it’s probably SyFy, anyway. While their track record in made-for-tv movies is as bad as it gets, they actually do put out a fairly good slate of original series. A good part of the time, at least.

Because it’s MTV, I expect it will be heavily dosed with lots of teen sex substituting for actual character development. Granted, the werewolf/vampire genre has always had implied sexual overtones, but at least they were at best implied. I doubt MTV will have the kind of restraint to be so nuanced.

Actually there were TWO Teen Wolf movies. Teen Wolf Too. They both sucked. A lot.

Glad MTV is not on my favorites list. i think all this New Moon hype is bringing the greed heads out of the woodwork, waiting to cash in.

Teen Wolf & Teen Wolf Too- They sucked then. They will suck now. Don’t do it.

Um I think Teen Wolf is a terrible movie and kind of assumed it was widely regarded as one. Am I wrong? I don’t think it’s great source material for a show…
