About a week ago a trailer showed up online for Lockout, a sci-fi action thriller whose biggest selling points are its cast - which includes Guy Pearce (Memento), Maggie Grace (Lost), Peter Stormare (Armageddon) and Lennie James (Jericho) - and the fact that it was co-written/produced by action movie guru, Luc Besson (The Professional, The Fifth Element).

Unfortunately, the Lockout trailer was leaked material that didn't properly represent what the film was about (which is why you won't find it here on Screen Rant ;-)) - the film has apparently altering  the "Lock-out" title in some markets, in favor of MS One: Maximum Security. Whatever the case may be, we now have an official trailer to share with you.

Check out the synopsis for MS One: Maximum Security below, followed by the trailer:

A man wrongly convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage against the U.S. is offered his freedom if he can rescue the president's daughter from an outer space prison taken over by violent inmates.

MS One - Maximum Security

Fictional presidents shouldn't have daughters. If there is anything that movies have taught me, it's that. Every time a movie/TV president has a daughter, something bad is going to happen to her (see: Spartan, 24, a dozen other films). It really is a fact that more real-life presidents may want to start considering (Mr. Clinton, Mr. Bush, Mr. Obama)...but I digress.

Aside from its sci-fi tropes, MS One pretty much looks like a dozen other action/thrillers involving some unlikely anti-hero going into hostile territory to complete some mission that will win them some desired reward like freedom or wealth. You've seen them before. Still, with Besson involved, a respectable cast and a premise that looks like some good B-movie fun (think Con Air in space), it's safe to say that this film will indeed find an audience.

MS One: Maximum Security is scheduled for release in the US on April 20, 2012.
